Based on some research and surveys conducted among specialists in the cultural domain, the article provides information on the current situation in terms of the extent to which the professionals who are expected to present and preserve digitally CH are familiar with the digitization-related standards and the processes of their application. It can play a critical role in Heritage site monitoring, as networks of sensors are required to catalog and analyze data over extended periods of time. Researchers have often adopted the mechanisms used for multi-source integration, such as Bayesian conditioning and Dempster-\u0000Shafer reasoning. Research in human cognitive models provides an interesting alternative insights for accumulating evidence over time. We used this research as a foundation for the current approach which integrates the set theoretic nature of Dempster-Shafer theory with an estimation structure based on Kalman filtering. The programme used pre-existing educational resources centered on meaningful, self-contained programming projects. The training programme followed a blended-learning approach thus offering an opportunity to many computer science teachers make their first steps towards the educational use of the Python language within a very promising learner-centered pedagogical framework. After the initial training phase, the participating teachers were supported to establish and run local Python code clubs.\u0000The paper presents the experience from establishing, running and evaluating one of them, established at Chania, Crete by three of the authors.
