Software inspection is the static verification technique that can contribute to the quality development of the software. As the development trend is focused towards open source software development the smart and light weight techniques are emerged. One of them is modern code review, a light weight software inspection technique. The modern code review is informal, static code analysis performed by small team using collaborative tools. It is argued that modern code review provides benefits other than defect detection and is also subject to various challenges such as lack of trust, communication issues, effective knowledge sharing, personal conflicts and varying situations etc. There has been little research with respect to systematizing and identifying the challenges faced by, and benefits gained by Modern Code Review (MCR) team. There is dire need to recognize and organize these challenges and benefits based on modern code review literature. The aim is to highlight and organize the challenges and benefits regarding modern code review context. It will be beneficial for software quality assurance practitioners and researchers by providing classified list of challenges and benefits.","PeriodicalId":265737,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Smart Computing and Electronic Enterprise (ICSCEE)","volume":"296 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115134859","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Most of the work is carried out for the recognition of printed symbols whereas little attention is given to handwritten symbols. In handwritten musical symbols, when we deal with historical and old handwritten musical symbols, the problem becomes more challenging. In this paper, we have dealt with recognition ofold handwritten musical symbols. In our method, we have used directional multi-resolution statistical descriptors by combining Radon Transform, Discrete Wavelet Transform, and Statistical Filters. Simple k-NN classifier is used with fivefold cross validation. We have achieved encouraging results on our dataset.","PeriodicalId":265737,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Smart Computing and Electronic Enterprise (ICSCEE)","volume":"168 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132809126","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, this paper proposed and investigated SOFM based on VQ by components, the proposed new approach which provide pre-processing for subsampling into high-pass filter and low-pass filter, low pass-filter subsampling goes immediately to lossless compressing for entropy coding and as presented here is used arithmetic coding, and high-pass filter to vectorization image block then to vector quantization using SOFM. This map contains depth information from stereo matching process. Generally, this process is sensitive to low texture areas and high noise on images with high different brightness and contrast. To get over these problems, the proposed algorithm utilizes the RGB channels at the matching stage and edge-preserving filter at the second and final stage. The filter is known as Guided Filter (GF). The GF kernel well-recovered low texture areas which is able to reduce noise and sharpen the images. Additionally, GF is strong against the distortions due to high brightness and contrast. The propose algorithm produces accurate results on the disparity map for the low textured regions. The proposed work in this paper produces accurate results and performs much better compared to some established algorithms based on the quantitative and qualitative measurements using standard stereo benchmarking evaluation from the Middlebury.","PeriodicalId":265737,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Smart Computing and Electronic Enterprise (ICSCEE)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114151174","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

ANN is the branch of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The neural network was trained by back propagation algorithm [1]. A neural network represent a mathematical models of information processing, benefited from the human biological systems (i.e. a brain or nerve cell), where the neutral network can be trained and learned the same as a human brain does. The learning will be done by changing the weight during the training process and by using certain formula. One of the most known neural networks is the Back Propagation Network. This net has been used in variety of application areas. One of the, the classification of certain objects by known only a portion of information of the object to be classified. The primary objective was the design of an efficient classifier that can be used in a wide range of application domains, unlike most prior works which focus on selected problems. This work retains the fuzzy neural structure of the original work but proposes a different membership function for the hyperboxes based on the Euclidean distance measure. The new function takes into consideration the centroids of the hyperboxes and not just the min and max points. The competence of the proposed classifier is tested on kinds of datasets. Further, a novel approach in which the classifier can also handle partly labeled data (or data with missing labels) is also discussed. One of the most important requisites of any classification algorithm is its efficiency. In the result-driven technological world of today, where mobile computing is a major thrust area, simple and elegant solutions are highly sought. Thus speed and efficiency were major considerations in the choice of the classifier for the classification system designed.","PeriodicalId":265737,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Smart Computing and Electronic Enterprise (ICSCEE)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125342514","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since there are many database systems created by organization or individuals, such systems can be in diverse types such as Access, Oracle and MySql. The progression in technology requires some systems to be upgraded to a newer system (e.g., adding new records' structures, changing platform) or migrated (e.g., adapting to a newer version of a system). In order to work with different types of database, a common platform is needed to do data integration or conversion due to their heterogeneity and platform diversity. This paper presents a computerized tool, namely FlexiDC, which is implemented using Java programming language to provide a single platform for database conversion. This platform uses Oracle as a working platform that allows records from various formats and types of databases to be integrated and manipulated before producing a single or multiple databases. Novelties of this work are column level conversion and flexible changing of data type. Therefore, the cost and time to deal with any database enhancement, migration, integration, conversion and new development can be reduced in order to accommodate with the changing requirements in the existing databases.","PeriodicalId":265737,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Smart Computing and Electronic Enterprise (ICSCEE)","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115832184","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Data arising from these applications can be represented as a matrix where this matrix is large and sparse. Most existing algorithms are used to calculate singular values, left and right singular vectors of a largedense matrix but not large-sparse matrix. Even if they can find SVD of a large matrix, calculation of large-dense matrix has high time complexity due to sequential algorithms. Distributed approaches are proposed for computing SVD of large matrices. However, rank of the matrix is still being a problem when solving SVD with these distributed algorithms. In this paper we propose Ranky, set of methods to solve rank problem on large-sparse matrices in a distributed manner. Experimental results show that the Ranky approach recovers singular values, singular left and right vectors of a given large-sparse matrix with negligible error.","PeriodicalId":265737,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Smart Computing and Electronic Enterprise (ICSCEE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129346810","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
