Those operations are based on the analysis of consumption data recorded by smart meters installed in MV/LV substations and supervised using a remote meter reading system. Without changing the conventional meters installed at the customers, the methodology followed starts with the sectorization of the electrical network, in order to determine the limits feeding each zone. Then, it calculates the efficiencies, and makes a detailed audit of the efficiency on each zone, by decreasing the technical losses and the non-technical losses due to the defects of the meters. Finally, it analyzes the data of the smart meters. Real studies, that have been carried out on electricity distribution networks during two years, demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed approach.","PeriodicalId":261718,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 7th Forum on Research and Technologies for Society and Industry Innovation (RTSI)","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129623167","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This leads to exploring the electromagnetic spectrum with millimeter waves (mmWaves), which is a complement to this high demand. One of the problems of these spectrum bands for research and teaching is the high cost of measuring equipment, for this reason, in this research the use of signal harmonics for the transmitter under test, to make use of equipment between 2 GHz to 18 GHz, to monitor spectrum in the 26 GHz to 40 GHz band. The third harmonic signal is measured with a Signal Hound digital spectrum analyzer and a down converter LNB, the tests carried out to validate the possibility of teaching and researching mmWaves with the proposed structure.","PeriodicalId":261718,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 7th Forum on Research and Technologies for Society and Industry Innovation (RTSI)","volume":"73 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132382058","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The bio-based composites provide the ability to embed radiofrequency features, such as microwave antennas, for smart load-bearing structures. The dielectric characteristics of biocomposites at microwave range are fundamental parameters in many applications, and needs to be investigated systematically. The measurement is conducted in the frequency range of (2GHz-16GHz) using a free-space method, which is more suitable and convenient for the developed materials. This work will present also a proof of concept to develop a new generation of biosourced antenna based on the sustainable natural fiber of flax with compatible thermosetting resins.","PeriodicalId":261718,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 7th Forum on Research and Technologies for Society and Industry Innovation (RTSI)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129915429","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The spreading of this virus caused an unprecedented pandemic, bringing out some critical health system issues due to overcrowded hospitals and undersized medical personnel compared to the number of infected. Indeed, in this context, health facilities have proven inadequate in treating COVID-19 patients who were in quarantine at home, leading to overcrowded hospitals. An efficient home monitoring system would have reserved hospital beds for patients in severe conditions while, at the same time, doctors would have followed up on patients who had mild disease symptoms remotely. Unfortunately, the development of telemedicine was not enough; devices were not user-friendly and had insufficient memory to guarantee daily data storage. ROH-BOT is an IoT device that allows real-time contact with the doctor, tracking the patient’s vital values, and registers the critical parameters that characterize the specific disease. It also allows quick contact with a trusted third person due to its association with a Telegram bot. Moreover, thanks to its user-friendly characteristics, ROH-BOT increases the growing digitalization in the medical field and the democratization of medical technology. In this way, ROH-BOT aims to solve the difficulties related to home monitoring relieved during the pandemic.","PeriodicalId":261718,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 7th Forum on Research and Technologies for Society and Industry Innovation (RTSI)","volume":"2004 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125806107","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
