Hubb al dunya is love of the world in excess. This can have a bad impact because it causes heart and soul disease. This article aims to find the relationship between takhalli and the concept of soul. The approach used is a qualitative method with literature study research. The results showed: takhalli is withdrawing from the world by eliminating outward and spiritual immorality. Disobedience can be removed by purifying the heart through repentance, zuhud, and muhasabah. While in the concept of the soul, evil behavior occurs because humans prioritize the lawwamah and ammarah nafs. The relationship between takhalli and the concept of soul lies between the relationship of the heart and soul. The heart connects the spirit and the soul, even the heart is called the deepest recess of the soul.","PeriodicalId":254528,"journal":{"name":"Al Misykat : Journal of Islamic Psychology","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131388563","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Technological changes have affected many aspects of life, including family life. The family as the most basic social organization inevitably has to adapt to all changes. Currently, the development of information technology has reached various areas of life and has become a primary need for every family. However, the parties most vulnerable to receiving negative impacts are children and adolescents. The family plays a central role in overseeing the development of children amidst the pace of technological change. This paper will review the impact of technological advances on family life, especially for the growth and development of children and adolescents in a review of Islamic Psychology. The role of the family in replacing the fulfillment of needs which is the motive for children and adolescents to use the internet is also discussed using the Uses Gratification theory. This U G theory identifies five groups of basic needs in media, namely cognitive needs (obtaining information, knowledge, and understanding), affective needs (emotions, pleasure/satisfaction, and feelings), personal integrative needs (credibility, stability, and status), the need for social integration (interacting with friends, family, etc.), and the need for tension relief (escape and diversion).","PeriodicalId":254528,"journal":{"name":"Al Misykat : Journal of Islamic Psychology","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130280293","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
