The methodology used is that of historical research, organized from a research question and intended to answer or clarify the stated objectives. The conclusions confirm that Montebruno would have been the first to systematize Antarctic knowledge in Chilean secondary education; the ideas presented by him in 1908 would have allowed the government to reflect on the political role of geographic and polar studies and that West Antarctica under the name of ‘Brit.’ (British), was associated with the English colonialism prevailing in the first half of the 20th century.","PeriodicalId":254026,"journal":{"name":"Sophia Austral","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122229922","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Especificamente, se desarrollo un estudio de caso multiple a partir de la aplicacion de distintos tipos de entrevistas asociados a observaciones de clases, que permitio realizar una aproximacion intensiva al objeto de estudio. Para el analisis de informacion se combinaron algunos principios de Teoria Fundamentada con orientaciones de una Descripcion Densa. Los resultados reportan los enfoques historiograficos y didactico disciplinar que predominan en la ensenanza de la historia de los profesores en formacion, y que son de corte mas bien tradicional, lo que podria proyectar una asociacion con concepciones de ciudadania tambien tradicionales desde una perspectiva tematica pues se abren algunas posibilidades desde una logica procedimental.","PeriodicalId":254026,"journal":{"name":"Sophia Austral","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125275379","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The theoretical approach to the work recognized, as a starting point, 4 theoretical models: the liberal, the republican, the communitarian and the radical. The work was framed in the perspective of the central nucleus and the peripheral system. The study methodology was mixed. The information was obtained through a questionnaire of open and closed questions. The findings show that the students have representations that fall between the liberal and republican models. The identification of the central nucleus of the representations allows the design of didactic proposals that go beyond the hegemonic discourses of the studied categories and contribute to the construction of a future with greater social justice.","PeriodicalId":254026,"journal":{"name":"Sophia Austral","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126716423","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Through field observations and analysis of secondary sources, we examine the ‘heritagisation’ policy of the State, the changes in ideas about heritage, as well as types of exhibition, in the last ten years. Finally, our proposal is that the importance of antiquity in the selection of heritage translates into a representation of the Mapuche as an ancient people and legitimate origin of national heritage.","PeriodicalId":254026,"journal":{"name":"Sophia Austral","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129802054","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its purpose is to discuss activation process, management and resignification of heritage through photographic technic and image, in a local context. We argue that the photographic technique and image becomes an unquestionable heritage device that, as well as they allow legitimizing practices and discourses about heritage; they also favored the construction of resistances and negotiations between different actors that participate in heritage processes.","PeriodicalId":254026,"journal":{"name":"Sophia Austral","volume":"375 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132872915","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
