The evolution of integration in Europe and the relationship between sovereignty and integration are also explored. The study then delves into the intricacies of the Brexit process, analyzing its impact on national sovereignty and the European Union. Subsequently, the focus shifts to the impact of Brexit on international trade relations, specifically the relationship between sovereignty and integration in this realm. The implications of Brexit for the United Kingdom and the European Union’s international trade relations are also analyzed, followed by an examination of the impact on global trade relations. It is widely believed that China being a socialist polity will try to overthrow the liberal world order. The paper tries to establish the view that China because of its political priorities will uphold the current system and will emerge as what the Singaporean political analyst, Mahbubani has called the \"Asian Inheritors of Western Legacy\". The paper explores China's economic engagement with the rest of the world according to the rules of the liberal multilateral world order. It also discusses China's role as a \"responsible player\" in world affairs. The conclusion arrived at rejecting the position of China as a revisionist power.","PeriodicalId":253809,"journal":{"name":"Global Strategic & Securities Studies Review","volume":"115 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121611720","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study begins with the Westphalian system, which established state sovereignty, and explores how globalization, human rights, environmental issues, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence have affected the concept. The paper also examines the role of international law and institutions in shaping the limits and responsibilities of states in exercising sovereignty. This research argues that sovereignty is a dynamic and evolving concept, shaped by historical, political, and technological developments. By critically analyzing the diverse meanings of sovereignty and its various expressions in international law, this study offers a deeper understanding of the concept and its significance in shaping the modern world. This study explores the rise of China in a historical context and vindicates the hypothetical and theoretical probability of war by using the Thucydides trap in the transition of power from an existing superpower to emerging power. Our results explore that war between the great powers is not a trap created by structural stresses of the international anarchic system, so war is a rational choice for pursuing the strategic goal.","PeriodicalId":253809,"journal":{"name":"Global Strategic & Securities Studies Review","volume":"127 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116178313","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The 3.5 square kilometers sea is one of the world’s busiest route for ships that holds multiple claims from the bordering states. The territorial claims from the bordering states, its contradiction to the maritime law and the interests of big powers such as USA, Russia and India makes the south china sea clash a hot topic for discussion in the international Relations discourse. Geographically South China Sea is important due to its strategic security issues and the claims somewhat violates the international law. But it is Understandable that the International politics rest upon this contradiction of interests and the South China Sea clash is profitable economically as well as politically. That is why they chose a statues quo and continue creating capital from this maritime conflict.","PeriodicalId":253809,"journal":{"name":"Global Strategic & Securities Studies Review","volume":"227 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116378380","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, this military cooperation has evolved greatly, especially during the last two decades during which this multifaceted cooperation has emerged as a balancing force to US unipolar hegemony since the end of the cold War. This paper seeks to understand the history, development, and ongoing dynamics of the Chinese and Russian military cooperation that seeks to strategically invalidate the chaos rendered in the wake of US invasions of Iraq, Afghanistan and a host of other interventions throughout the world. This paper also attempts to validate the potential of this cooperation to act as a stabilizing force in the sphere of global politics as the world moves from unipolar hegemony to a skewed multi-polarity in the coming decades.","PeriodicalId":253809,"journal":{"name":"Global Strategic & Securities Studies Review","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128424575","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper analyses the relationship between wide-ranging social, structural and economic threats as well as institutional and structural issues that exist within the country's institutional frameworks and seeks to propose adoption a 'Comprehensive National Defense' approach which seeks to integrate the entire military and civilian capacity of a nation in an effort to create an invincible defense. Application of this would require a radical shift from traditional bureaucratic and military structures inherited from the colonial era in an effort to create a more inclusive military and civilian infrastructure capable of thwarting physical and non-physical threats including informational psychological threats. A key aspect of Comprehensive National Defense is enhanced deterrence capability by building infrastructures and institutions as well as training of the general population to ensure the survivability of the state in the eventuality of a full scale or nuclear confrontation.","PeriodicalId":253809,"journal":{"name":"Global Strategic & Securities Studies Review","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131325541","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There have been numerous attempts to alter the Islamic identity of the region in the past. Nevertheless, people resisted the change and their belief system somehow remained unmoved. Owing to its geographical proximity, geopolitical and geo-economic interests, West is considered to be the key driver of making this change in the Islamic identity of the region. Nevertheless, there exists ambiguity and confusion about the transformation, its objectives, patterns and methodology in an environment of international power play in the Middle East. This research aims to investigate the transformation in the identity of the Middle East from three perspectives; a) whether there is an on-going transformation in the Islamic identity of the Middle East, b) what is the philosophy behind this transformation of regional identity, c) and how the transformation will impact the region at: short-term, medium-term and long-term basis.","PeriodicalId":253809,"journal":{"name":"Global Strategic & Securities Studies Review","volume":"1991 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131102048","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
