The article briefly considers retrospective studies of the soil-forming properties of this group of organisms. Currently, the most significant biogeochemical aspects of the life activity of earthworms of different species include the ability to produce calcium carbonate granules and single calcite crystals. The leading role in this process is played by the calcium glands of earthworms. The carbonate granules produced by earthworms show variations in morphological characteristics due to genus, species, and population specificity. Worms of the genus Lumbricus produce clearly visible, large carbonate granules, while most species of Eisenia produce no granules at all, excreting single crystals of calcite. Carbonate granules produced by earthworms can remain in the soil for a long time, up to several tens of thousands of years. The duration of the existence of carbonate granules in the soil depends on the level of saturation of the soil solution with calcite. Carbonate granules produced by earthworms can account for tenths to one percent of soil carbon reserves, on the order of a few percent of gross calcium reserves, and tens of percent of total exchangeable calcium in soils. Replenishment of the soil carbon and calcium pool is the most important biogeochemical function of earthworms at the biosphere scale.","PeriodicalId":248021,"journal":{"name":"BULLETIN of the L.N. The aim of the study was to assess the radiation situation in the settlements of the Turkestan region located near the impact zone of the nuclear power plant. The investigation includes measurements of ambient equivalent dose rates of gamma radiation, equivalent to the equilibrium volumetric activity of radon and thoron in residential buildings, establishing the total alpha and beta activities, and measuring the specific activity of radionuclides in water soil and food samples. In soil samples taken from the villages of Zhetysay and Zhyly-su, the specific activity of 232Th is 2 times higher than the national average. The total alpha activity of drinking water samples from the village of Zhyly-su is 1,5 times higher than the maximum permissible concentration. The concentration of artificial (137Cs, 90Sr) and natural radionuclides (226Ra, 232Th) in food is within the normal range. Obtaining preliminary results of the research will make it possible to assess the predicted radiation doses for various age groups of the population, and to develop preventive measures during the operation of a nuclear power plant.","PeriodicalId":248021,"journal":{"name":"BULLETIN of the L.N. AN identification of similar species of the maculipennis complex was carried out by the PCR-RFLP method using the second internal transcribed spacer of the ITS2 ribosomal gene cluster. Based on the analysis of the ITS2 rDNA sequence, new Palearctic species were discovered in this collection: An. persiensis (Sedaghatetal., 2003), An. daciae (Nicolescu et al., 2004) and An. artemievi (Gordeev et al., 2004). Previously, a cytogenetic method was used on the territory of Kazakhstan, which included chromosomal polymorphism. It is found in the south of the range of this species (Stegny, 1991; Gordeev and Sibataev, 1996). In populations of malarial mosquitoes of An. messeae of Kazakhstan, new chromosomal inversions have been identified that are not characteristic of this region (Abylkasymova et al., 2019). There is also provided some information about the bioecology and harmful nature of Anopheles messeae mosquitoes. Bloodsucking mosquitoes of the Anopheles maculipennis complex are of great scientific and practical interest since they are known as active bloodsuckers and carriers of pathogens of a number of dangerous human and animal diseases. Based on their own research and literature data, were collected materials on the biology and ecology of Anopheles messeae mosquitoes of the Irtysh River basin. Data on the prevalence and landscape location of mosquitoes in the Maculipennis complex, there are presented seasonal dynamics and daily rhythm of abundance, and harmful value.","PeriodicalId":248021,"journal":{"name":"BULLETIN of the L.N. Along with this, there is a decrease in the content of humus, available forms of nutrients in the soils of the republic, which leads to a sharp decrease in the productivity of crops. In this regard, there is increasing concern for maintaining a stable bioproductivity of the country's soil resources. To solve existing problems, it becomes necessary to take measures on the part of the state to reproduce soil fertility and rational use of soil resources and agricultural land. The accumulation of waste is also a global and national environmental problem. Ash and slag belong to V hazard class waste (practically safe), and they are quite applicable as fertilizers for agriculture and are of great importance for the environment, as they contribute to waste disposal. The article presents the results of examining the doses effect of the preparation from ash and slag and technical fertilizer on the biological activity of ordinary chernozem and the yield of oil flax. The experiments were carried out on the experimental field of the Educational-Scientific-Production Center \"Elite\" of Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau University. The microbiological activity of the soil was determined by the method of application of flax. It has been established that the application of the preparation made from ash and slag and carbon black contributes to the activation of microbiological processes in ordinary chernozem and an increase in the yield of oil flax.","PeriodicalId":248021,"journal":{"name":"BULLETIN of the L.N. Molybdenum deficiency is widely spread among pulses and some vegetable crops, which are intensively irrigated, or which grow in acid or sandy soils. Plant cells can absorb molybdenum in the form of molybdate oxyanion. Even though molybdenum is available for a cell, it is biologically inactive element until there is a formed complex of molybdenum co-factor (Moco). Moco is situated in the active center of molybdenum ferments, which are used as short bonds of electron passage and take part in nitrogen and sulfur metabolism, hormone biosynthesis, and plant harmful bond detoxification. There are known four molybdenum ferments of higher plants such as nitrate reductase (NR), xanthine dehydrogenase (XDH), aldehyde oxidase (AO), and sulfite oxidase (SO). Tungsten (T) is molybdenum antagonist. It pushes molybdenum out of mobdoenzymes, as a result molybdenum-containing enzymes become inactive. Molybdenum is a vital element which is in minimal qualities required for plant growth and development. On the other hand, huge amount of Molybdenum is toxic, and its complete absence is lethal for the plant organism. As a result, the search for the perfect molybdenum concentration for the growth and development plays an important role in agriculture. Nicotiana Benthamiana, or Australian tobacco was used as a model plant, it is nightshade family (Solanaceae). The article presents sodium molybdate (Na2MoO4•2H2O), sodium wolframate (Na2WO4•2H2O), and molybdate with wolframate influence to germinating capacity and length of Nicotiana Benthamiana plantlets.","PeriodicalId":248021,"journal":{"name":"BULLETIN of the L.N. In total, 11 harmful species of mollusks belonging to 5 genera from 4 families of the Stylommatophora order of the Gastropoda class were noted. Most of them (8 species) belong to the families Camaenidae and Agriolimacidae (4 species in each family). The remaining 2 species belong to the Succineidae family and 1 species belongs to the Geomitridae. 4 species - Fruticicola almaatini (Skvortzov, 1940), Deroceras reticulatum (O. F. Müller, 1774), Novisuccinea martensiana Nevill, 1878 and Oxyloma elegans (Risso, 1826) - were not previously noted as organisms that harm the cultivated apple tree and the Sivers apple tree. The most numerous, harmful and widespread are the garden snail Fruticicola lantzi (Lindholm, 1927) and the reticulated slug D. reticulatum. Local damage during mass reproduction can be caused by the snail F. almaatini, the slender amber O. In addition to the above-mentioned gastropods, the following species of mollusks have been observed in the growing areas of cultivated apple and Sivers apple trees: Turanena tenuispira Schileyko, 1984, Pseudonapaeus entodon (E.v. Martens, 1882) (Enidae), Punctum pygmaeum (Draparnaud, 1801) (Punctidae), Zonitoides nitidus (müller, 1774) (Gastrodontidae), Macrochlamys lessini Westerlund, 1902, M. turanica Martens, 1874 (Ariophantidae). The scientific article presents the results of innovative technologies used in the anaerobic fermentation of biomass of green plants, as well as the cultivation of local enzymatic strains in elective conditions. At the same time, in the course of morphocytological experiments, the results of the description of lactic acid bacteria that carry out complete silage in the process of feed production are presented. The study of new and economically accessible sources of high-quality protein raw materials is an urgent problem in modern agricultural biotechnology. One of the solutions to this problem is the use of microalgae as a source of bio-feed. In a number of countries, single-celled algae Clorella and Scenedesmus are used for the production of feed protein instead of traditional sources of raw materials, such as plant resources and the protein mass of microorganisms. Based on these data, it is obvious that in order to maintain the normal functioning of the body, timely cell renewal, and a constant synthesis of various forms of proteins, including essential amino acids, must be carried out. In this regard, many scientific laboratories in the field of agricultural biotechnology, including Kazakhstan, are intensively engaged in the problems of providing and increasing the content of feed preparations with essential amino acids. The article presents the results of scientific research on the microbiological identification of microalgae living in the rivers of the Turkestan region.
