The 5C’s of ACTFL are used as a guide in creating a curriculum that can enable students to develop various skills, gain insights from other cultures, connect language skills acquired with other scientific fields, develop insights by comparison, and participate in a multilingual society. This study aim to answer the question of the results of the ACTFL 5C’s standard analysis in the Arabic textbooks for class 4 in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah published by the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia. This type of research is library research conducted with research objects or library data collection. The analysis found that the Arabic textbook complies with the ACTFL 5C’s standard. The Arabic textbook can optimize learning Arabic for elementary school; Madrasah Ibtidaiyah class 4. In detail, the percentage of the ACTFL 5C’s standard is 31% communication, 25% cultures, 22% connections, 14% comparisons, and 8% communities.","PeriodicalId":243843,"journal":{"name":"Al-Ma‘rifah","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125964243","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This fact does not imply that pre-Islamic poetry is monotonous with a single pattern of tendency. On the contrary, pre-Islamic poetry is a collection of various tendencies that are divided into different aspects and diversities, both in expression (al-ta‘bīr) and content (al-muḥtawá). Therefore, this study aims to describe the facts about pre-Islamic poetry that not only revolves around tribal fanaticism (‘aṣabīyah qabalīyah) but also exhibit deviations from tribal (qabīlah) traditions. The research method employed in this study essentially utilizes historical methods, including the heuristic, criticism, and interpretation steps in analyzing the acquired data sources. The results of this study indicate that the other side of the content of pre-Islamic poetry which deviates is reflected in two tendencies: first, deviations that arise from individual subjective experiences (al-tajribah al-dhātīyah), such as the poems of Imru’ al-Qays and Ṭarafah ibn al-‘Abd; second, deviations that arise from political and ideological experiences (al-tajribah al-siyāsīyah al-īdiyūlūjīyah), as reflected in the poems of the brigand (Ṣa‘ālīk) group.","PeriodicalId":243843,"journal":{"name":"Al-Ma‘rifah","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125507173","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study showed that ‘Alī ibn al-Jahm can be considered one of the pioneers of this literary art in the Abbasid era. He paved the way for poets to depict history in this format and create novel works in this era and immortalize those historical events. By analyzing each element of the story in ‘Alī ibn al-Jahm’s chapter “Creation of Adam”, this study has proved that this work is a story poem and also tries to determine the poet’s goals from the order of this work for the audience. The results of this study show that the aim of ‘Alī ibn al-Jahm in this poem is to teach the teachings of Islam to the audience and people of his time in addition to retelling the events and history of the prophets. Considering that ‘Alī ibn al-Jahm was a court poet and praiser of the caliphs of Banī ‘Abbās, probably the aim of the poet is also to teach a lesson from the caliphs and also the behavior of the prophets and the ancients.","PeriodicalId":243843,"journal":{"name":"Al-Ma‘rifah","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129768438","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Students are said to succeed in a subject if they achieve the minimum completeness criteria specified in the syllabus. This research aims to study the procedures and the method used to defining the minimum completeness criteria for Arabic lessons at Al-Fattah Elementary School, Batu, Malang. This study used the descriptive-qualitative method. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that defining the minimum completeness criteria for Arabic lessons in Al-Fattah Elementary School follows two procedures. First, the Subject Teachers’ Consultation Council (MGMP) defines the minimum completeness criteria at the beginning of the school year, and for each basic competency (KD), its standard is 67, and Arabic language lesson have a standard of 71. Secondly, the minimum completeness criteria that have been defined are published for all Arabic teachers. The process of defining minimum completeness criteria in this school uses the value range method to assign the level of complexity, level of students’ absorption capacity, and efficiency level of auxiliary resources, and then calculates it using the appropriate formula to get the exact score.","PeriodicalId":243843,"journal":{"name":"Al-Ma‘rifah","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122823297","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
