As for the type of study, 70.0% were descriptive and 59.3% quantitative. Regarding the theme most frequently researched, 43.3% addressed nursing care, and 38.0% had critical patients as the target population of the scientific research. Conclusion: brazilian nursing theses and dissertations conducted in Adult Intensive Care Unit were predominantly made up of descriptive and quantitative studies carried out in the Southeast and South regions, and addressing the nursing care provided to patients.","PeriodicalId":243005,"journal":{"name":"Northeast Network Nursing Journal","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-08-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129273402","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Methods: this is a qualitative research with seven family members of adolescents with Human Immunodeficiency Virus, developed in a hospital of reference in infectious diseases. A semi-structured interview was used to collect information. Qualitative research assumptions were applied and the Consolidated Criteria for Reporting Qualitative Research protocol was used for organization and analysis. Results: the family members reported that the adolescents are not perceived as susceptible to infection by the Human Immunodeficiency Virus; they considered AIDS to be a serious disease surrounded by discrimination and prejudice; they identify benefits as guidelines for health and family support. The barriers were difficulty adhering to treatment, teenage pregnancy, “disobedience” and family disharmony. Conclusion: beliefs and values interfere in the way of thinking, acting and caring for the HIV positive adolescent to the Human Immunodeficiency Virus.","PeriodicalId":243005,"journal":{"name":"Northeast Network Nursing Journal","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-08-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128453980","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Results: female prevailed, age group 60|-70 years old, living with the partner, education level of 1|-5 years of study and income of a minimum wage. The female presented higher averages than the male in most of the dimensions of religiosity and spirituality. The age presented a weak positive correlation in the dimensions of organizational religiosity and global self-assessment; while income did not present a statistically significant correlation. Results: adults, females, black skinned people, with 4-12 years of schooling, belonging to class C and residents of the urban zone predominated among the hospitalized people. The prevalence of hospitalizations due to sensitive conditions was 20.8% (Confidence Interval 95.0%: 15.7/27.1). Diseases of the respiratory tract, skin and subcutaneous tissue presented higher prevalence than the general estimate of hospitalizations for conditions sensitive to Primary Care.
