The cylinder sample employed is a standard double rod cylinder with a cube body, and the ultrasonic oscillator has a measured resonant frequency of 31.65 kHz. The two components are connected through screw thread for effective oscillations. A measurement system is established and the influence of ultrasonic oscillator's frequency, exciting voltage and relative exciting position on static friction characteristics is explored. The experiment results prove the existence of cylinder friction reduction with ultrasonic oscillations compared to that of non-oscillation. This robot platform has four legs and can execute some highly dynamic tasks, like walking, trotting, galloping and especially jumping. Hydraulic actuators have been chosen to drive active joints in order to meet the performance requirements of the robot for torque, compactness, velocity, impact resistance and control bandwidth. The main research work aims at the design of robot structure, descriptions of geometry relationships, parameters selection and implementation of jumping movement. The evaluations and analyses of the robot have finished based on the simulation results using AMESim software. Block division technology was used for meshing non-contact swirl sucker, the part of vortex cup was meshed by unstructured grids and the part of gas film was meshed by structured girds. The pressure distribution, the lifting force and the flow rate characteristics were conducted by the three different turbulent model. Compared the simulation results and experiment results, it was known that RNG k-∊ model could reproduce the real distribution. A terminal sliding mode controller can drive the close-loop system to stable in finite time. In this paper, based on a rigorous mathematical analysis and Lyapunov stability theory, a terminal fuzzy sliding mode controller is designed that the controlled system state can be driven to zero state. The terminal fuzzy sliding mode controller combines the terminal sliding mode control with the fuzzy sliding mode control. A tubular linear machine with double-layered Halbach arrays is proposed in this paper to enhance the magnetic flux density, and thus the force output. The magnetic field of the machine is formulated analytically with vector potential and Bessel's functions. The analytical model is validated with numerical results. Furthermore, the effect of back iron on the design is also analyzed. The study shows that the employment of double-layered Halbach arrays and back iron does help to improve the performance of the linear machines. The table is mainly composed by a pneumatic actuator, the high-performance pneumatic servo valve and pipelines. The pneumatic actuator utilizes a pneumatic cylinder with air bearings. This servo valve, with high dynamics up to 300Hz, is connected with the pneumatic actuator by pipelines. The whole system is pneumatically driven, it has advantages like low heat generation and non-magnetic, which are suitable for precise positioning. A linear model considering the dynamics of pipelines and the servo valve is designed to simulate the system. Compared with experimental results, it is found that with 7th order linear control model, the discrepancy between experimental and simulation results became much smaller than the 3rd order model was used. However, a low dimensional model is necessary for practical use. Since there are two poles which are much further from imaginary axis compared with other five poles in the pole loci of the 7th order model, the model's order can be reduced into 5th. By comparing simulation with experimental results, we found that the 5th order model can also match with the real system well. Based on this result, a 5th order feed forward has been designed. In order to avoid the problem of over-parameterization, this paper divides the identification into two parts, i.e. no-load identification (identification of the system without load) and with-load identification (identification of the system with load). To test the performance of this method, it is applied to a set of simulated data.
