For the change of the controlled system, the transient response characteristics of the new HVDC transmission system will be accordingly changed when it adopts the standard control model that the traditional HVDC transmission system adopts. Referring to the parameters of the main circuit of the OGRE HVDC first benchmark model, this paper designs a similar benchmark model of the new HVDC transmission system based on the technical characteristics of the new converter transformer and the corresponding inductive filtering method, which mainly contains the rated parameters of the new converter transformer and the inductive filtering device. Then, the typical transient response characteristics of the new HVDC transmission system have been analyzed and simulated by PSCAD/EMTDC. It studies the characteristic of these kinds of voltage quality problem and their impact on microgrid. According to these characteristics, this paper presents a method which depends on the type and structure of DG in microgrid to improve the voltage quality. The studies show that the penetration of DG in microgrid has beneficial improvement of system response to voltage disturbances. Rotating type DG can mitigate voltage fluctuation caused by rapidly changing loads due to its short circuit strength. Inverter type DG also has beneficial impact on voltage fluctuation if it has voltage regulation function. The results show that recovery voltage of temporary fault contains the components of power frequency and resonant frequency, while the recovery voltage of permanent fault only contains power frequency component. According to the different frequency characteristics of recovery voltage, a new method based on power spectrum to distinguish the temporary faults from permanent faults in EHV/UHV transmission lines is proposed. Using the distribution of spectral line nearby the power frequency in power spectrum, this method can distinguish the types of fault. The criterion which doesn't need high frequency contents is prone to set and realize. Simulations have been carried out by MATLAB/ SIMULINK and the power spectrums have been calculated. The neurocontroller uses adaptive critic designs (ACDs) with emphasis on dual heuristic programming (DHP). Results are presented to show that the DHP based neurocontroller performs better than the conventional PI controller, especially when the system conditions and configuration changes. The issues specifically considered are performance during a severe short-circuit and frequency stability after a sudden loss of generation. The results of the short-circuit simulation are then evaluated vis-a-vis the grid code requirements placed on wind generating plants. Using a large interconnected system encompassing several conventional synchronous generators, the effect of increased wind power generation on the frequency stability of the system after a loss of generation has been discussed. To solve this problem, our discussion and analysis of electricity price will almost focus on the volatility analysis, which is proposed by wavelet transformation in this paper. According to wavelet analysis, electricity price series is expanded to its wavelet series, which in different scales are orthogonal. And reconstruct price component series give a proper interpretation of the original price, by using which we identify price volatility and analyze on its mechanism. A method for computing the transient energy function numerically is proposed. In the method, the angular speeds and rotor angles deemed as slow dynamics are integrated along sustained fault trajectories, and the integral path of the DC dynamics treated as fast dynamics are acquired by some modifications. The problems in applying potential energy boundary surface (PEBS) method to the computation of critical clearing time are also discussed.
