Nevertheless, Metallo-Beta-Lactamase (MBL) production by these organisms has led to carbapenem resistance which is a global threat. This study aimed to determine the prevalence and antimicrobial susceptibility profile of MBL in clinical isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Proteus mirabilis in Benin City, Nigeria. 354 non monotonous clinical isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa (282) and Proteus mirabilis (72) used were obtained from various clinical samples from tertiary hospitals in Benin City. Identification of these isolates were done using standard microbiological techniques. Antimicrobial susceptibility test was performed using Kirby-Bauer disk diffusion method. MBL production was detected using Imipenem Ethylene-Diamine-Tetra-Acetic Acid combined disc test method. Of the total 354 clinical isolates tested, 115 (32.48%) were MBL and the prevalence of this resistant isolates was significantly higher in Pseudomonas aeruginosa (46.8%) compared to Proteus mirabilis (P=0.0001). Among the metallo-beta-lactamase producing isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa higher prevalence were reported from Pleural fluid and cerebrospinal fluid samples with 6 (100%) and 3 (100%) respectively. This difference was statistically significant (P=0.0001). Susceptibility testing showed that isolates that produced beta-lactamase demonstrated poorly against cephalosporin, amoxicillin-clavulanate, gentamicin and floroquinones than non-beta- lactamase producers. A prevalence of 46.8% was reported for MBL producing Pseudomonas aeruginosa and 12.5% was reported for MBL producing Proteus mirabilis. Isolates that produced the MBL enzyme were more resistant to antibacterial agents. Measures to control and curb the spread of MBL producing clinical isolates are highly advocated","PeriodicalId":23739,"journal":{"name":"World Journal of Advanced Research and Reviews","volume":"1 9","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141795997","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is essential that, in a modern and dynamic approach to this discipline, contextualization is adopted, and above all, the clinical applications of what is studied, in addition to other methods such as 3D images. It is necessary to understand the student's conception of such methods – the didactic and scientific evidence at the moment – so that they can make the connection – in the present and the future – with professional life. Methodology: The research, carried out with 163 medical students from two educational institutions in Juiz de Fora, aimed to find out which methodologies were used in their anatomy course; Which one(s) among them is(are) seen as the most effective, and most facilitator(s) of the learning process and approach to clinical practice. The data obtained were processed using the SPSS program, version 20.0. Results: It was evident that the approach to anatomical content based on clinical direction, contextualization of the subject, and use of radiological images is more widespread in Medicine. The application of seminars and clinical debates was scarcely explored. The use of alternative technologies to slides was notable in the Medicine course. Medical students, markedly, advocate for contextualizations and clinical applications. Conclusions: Students, in general, recognize the effectiveness of contextualization, clinical correlations, and the use of images. Few students support the use of seminars. As much as the interviewees do not prefer more summarized theoretical classes, they would like fewer structures to lean about, with more direct books.","PeriodicalId":23739,"journal":{"name":"World Journal of Advanced Research and Reviews","volume":"3 11","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141796017","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the case of involving orbits, it is a big problem in aesthetic factors and must be done immediately so as not to affect the quality of life of a person. A 76-year-old male patient came to the prosthodontic dental and oral hospital on a referral from an ophthalmologist to have an eye prosthesis because he wanted to improve his appearance. The patient wants to have an eye prosthesis immediately because of embarrassment. The creation of an eye prosthesis by printing with extraoral scans and orbital contour design is the treatment plan given to the patient. After that, the first visit to the orbital socket is scanned, the color of the eye is selected and the patient can go home. The contour of the orbit of the eye can be designed with 3D software and 3D printed for the working model, as well as the search for a suitable stock eye for the patient. The next visit can be done by selecting colors and trying them out. This speeds up visits, prosthetic comfort and aesthetics.","PeriodicalId":23739,"journal":{"name":"World Journal of Advanced Research and Reviews","volume":"3 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141796103","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It uses the coefficient of variation method and relative weighting method to determine the weight of each indicator. Based on this, the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is used to calculate the level of rural revitalization in Daqing City. The research shows that due to the continuous development of the prosperous industries subsystem and the prosperous life subsystem in Daqing, the level of rural revitalization in Daqing City has continued to rise. However, the fluctuation of the ecological livability subsystem caused by the increase in clean fuel use and the decrease in rural greening in Daqing City requires continuous improvement in rural greening. Further increasing the consumption expenditure of rural residents in education, culture, and entertainment can promote the continuous rise of the rural cultural civilization subsystem.","PeriodicalId":23739,"journal":{"name":"World Journal of Advanced Research and Reviews","volume":"1 10","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141796207","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

According to the WHO, the resistance of Klebsiella pneumonia to Ciprofloxacin is 79.4%, making infections such as pneumonia and several diseases more difficult, if not impossible to treat. The prevalence of antimicrobial resistance is a global problem and among the 10 top global health threats facing humanity. With the projection of 10 million deaths per year by 2050 due to bacterial infections associated with antibiotic resistance according to WHO, there is an urgent need to identify an alternative approach to curb the incessant antimicrobial resistance and a complementary approach is to employ the use of naturally occurring compounds with potent antibacterial activities. We employed structural bioinformatics and theoretical chemistry techniques via molecular docking, and pharmacokinetic study, to identify novel S. pneumoniae topoisomerase IV inhibitors. The stringent molecular docking identified Arg140, Arg81, Glu55, Pro84, Met83, and Asn51, as principal amino acid residues for topoisomerase IV ligand interactions. Ten of the bioactive compounds found in Vernonia amygdalina showed a higher binding energy when compared to the reference compound (Ciprofloxacin). The overall analysis of MD results and binding free energy calculations reveal that Luteolin and 7-O-methylwogonin displayed stable trajectories with acceptable RMSD values and sufficient high negative energies throughout the MD simulation run of 100ns. These identified bioactive compounds in this study can be taken further for in vitro and In vivo studies to examine their efficacy against Pneumonia.","PeriodicalId":23739,"journal":{"name":"World Journal of Advanced Research and Reviews","volume":"1 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141796244","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
