It was also designed to verify the moderating effect of trust among them. Required data was gathered from customers of insurance companies in Malaysia via an online questionnaire. SmartPLS was used to conduct statistical analyses and verify research hypotheses. The findings showed that subjective norms, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and perceived web security are positively associated with online purchase intention. However, the effect of web skills on online purchase intention was not supported. In other words, customers tend to purchase an online life insurance if they believe the process will be easy, safe, and convenient for them. The results also showed that trust moderates the association among subjective norms and intent to buy life insurance online.","PeriodicalId":230921,"journal":{"name":"Jindal Journal of Business Research","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134039173","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While buying online, along with the products/medicines in case of e-pharmacies, people also expect a user-friendly website, prompt and safe delivery, data and payment security, and convenient customer services. Hence, e-pharmacy organizations should satisfy all these factors to be the best in the market, enhance customer experience, and increase customer’s repurchasing intentions. The objective of this research is to compare the e-service quality between two of the top e-pharmacies in India—Tata 1mg and API Holdings Private Limited’s PharmEasy—using the e-service quality hierarchical model developed by Blut (2016). E-service quality is evaluated and compared using the following dimensions: website/application design, customer service, security/privacy, fulfillment, and overall e-service quality from the consumer’s perspective. Findings of the study reveal that there was no significant difference in the quality of dimensions—website design and customer service between 1mg and PharmEasy—while there is a significant difference in the quality of fulfillment, security/privacy, and overall e-service quality between 1mg and PharmEasy.","PeriodicalId":230921,"journal":{"name":"Jindal Journal of Business Research","volume":"469 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126786119","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, employee engagement (EE) has been labeled as an essential nutrient that organizations need in order to survive in these turbulent times. This study was to investigate the effect of EE on employee performance during the COVID-19 pandemic and how job demands and job resources moderate this relationship. A sample size of 395 respondents were selected from a variety of MSMEs via a convenience sampling method. The study used a survey questionnaire approach as the main method for collecting primary data. The result of the correlation analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between EE and employee performance. It was revealed that job demands and job resources moderated the relationship between EE and employee performance. Finally, the result showed that job demands had an insignificant effect on EE, but job resources had a significant effect on EE. Thus, it can be concluded that, in the face of COVID-19, EE is a significant predictor of EP in the MSME sector.","PeriodicalId":230921,"journal":{"name":"Jindal Journal of Business Research","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136216314","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To achieve the objective, a checklist index of 143 items of information was developed. To examine the hypotheses of the study, a panel regression model was estimated on the data of 87 Indian commercial banks. Panel regression results indicate that size, market discipline (CAR), profitability, listing status, type of ownership, and type of sector have a significant relationship with the level of web disclosure, and banks are more likely to use the websites to disclose information. On the contrary, age, leverage, and market discipline (NPA) have insignificant relationship with the web-based disclosure level, and Indian banks have not shown any relationship with the disclosure score. The study will help the managers to meet the actual and potential informational needs of the investors; for the investor, it will help to assess investment decisions in a better way.","PeriodicalId":230921,"journal":{"name":"Jindal Journal of Business Research","volume":"76 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127426081","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, India is experiencing economic development with a pinch of salt; massive climate and environmental changes are seen. As per Global Climate Risk Index 2021, India was ranked as the 7th worst climate hit country in the world. The present study is an attempt to empirically evaluate the impact of India’s economic growth, population, foreign investment, and trade openness on carbon emissions. The study adopts the STochastic Impacts by Regression on Population, Affluence and Technology (STIRPAT) framework augmented with the Environment Kuznet’s Curve (EKC) model with a time series data over the period 1971–2020. Results for unit root testing indicated the presence of mix stationarity for the variables, therefore, the autoregressive distributed lag approach was apt for capturing the long- and short-run dynamics. The results validated EKC for affluence and population. The outcome for FDI inflows and trade openness suggested the presence of pollution haven hypothesis for India. Policy initiatives toward green and sustainable production processes are suggested.","PeriodicalId":230921,"journal":{"name":"Jindal Journal of Business Research","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128189128","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Fear and anxiety have been among the most typical psychological reactions within the community. Thus, the purpose of this study is to examine the influence of distress, fear of COVID-19, and work overload on job stress and job performance of medical representatives. The sample of the current study consisted of 260 medical representatives working in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. A web-based cross-sectional survey design was used to gather data from respondents. Data analysis and hypotheses testing were performed by applying partial least square structural equation modeling. Distress, work overload, and job stress were found to have a significant negative impact on the job performance of medical representatives. The direct effect of fear of COVID-19 on job performance was shown to be statistically insignificant. However, fear of COVID-19 significantly affected job performance through job stress.","PeriodicalId":230921,"journal":{"name":"Jindal Journal of Business Research","volume":"106 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121719530","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This article covers the top companies listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) from 2014 to 2019 (498 firm–year observations). The study utilizes panel econometric methodology based on Generalized Least Squares (GLS) to check the interplay between corporate governance and working capital efficiency. The empirical results produce that audit committee meetings are very effective in the efficient management of working capital. Surprisingly, the authors found that CEO duality does have a significant impact on working capital efficiency. Overall, the findings highlight that corporate governance is an effective tool for monitoring working capital efficiently. The conclusion of this study may be utilized to offer management information if their working capital decisions are efficient or not and how they could increase the scope of their working capital decisions in light of corporate governance.","PeriodicalId":230921,"journal":{"name":"Jindal Journal of Business Research","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114296511","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The non-macroeconomic variable, like the COVID-19 pandemic, had a significant impact on the pharmaceutical industry, as well as other industries. This study examines the financial situation of pharma firms and the overall pharma industry using the Altman Z-score before and during the COVID period. Hence, the study is undertaken in three window periods. The study further describes the pharma industry’s stock return to market return and finally, the impact of overall Z-score and its ratios impact on stock return by panel data modeling. The result depicted an improved financial situation in the pharma sector due to improved investors’ confidence and higher beta in pharma stocks compared to market movement during the COVID period. Lastly, it has been analysed that Working Capital to Total Assets (WC/TA) is the significant ratio in predicting the stock return.","PeriodicalId":230921,"journal":{"name":"Jindal Journal of Business Research","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128298519","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Credit availability is a critical factor for boosting the agricultural sector’s performance and output. The study was carried out in the Budaun district of Uttar Pradesh (India) to determine the adequacy rate of the KCC scheme and its effectiveness in meeting the credit needs of farmer households. The research design used in the present research was Descriptive & Exploratory in nature which aims to determine the adequacy rate of credit under the KCC scheme. In the present study, the Stratified Random Sampling technique is used, which comes under the probability sampling techniques. The present study reveals that an adequate amount of credit is available to beneficiary farmers under the KCC scheme to fulfil their credit requirements. The study also reveals that the adequacy of credit has a significant impact on loan purpose(s) under the KCC scheme to beneficiary farmers. Very few research studies have been conducted on the adequacy rate of the credit available to farmer households under the KCC scheme and how much this scheme succeeds in providing an adequate amount of credit to farmer households. This study will be significantly important in taking necessary measures for the effective distribution of schemes like KCC scheme.","PeriodicalId":230921,"journal":{"name":"Jindal Journal of Business Research","volume":"106 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127571635","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
