In this paper the discharge current changed between 1C and 2C, so the profile was created by the switch of the load. Two different measurements were performed, with both periodically changing resistance and current. For comparison a reference cell was also measured with constant resistance and discharging current. In case of the constant current it was 1C while the constant resistance was calculated so that the current of the cell was around 1C. The effects of the ambient temperature were the same to both cells, and to obtain more information on the behavior of measured cells, it was recorded as well. During the measurement, effects of four different switching frequencies were examined on the available capacity and state-of-health. Altogether ten measurements were performed in case of each switching frequency, each of them preceded by a reference measurement with 1C discharge to compare the capacity change of the reference and measured cell. As the discharge capacity is affected by the charging current both cells were charged in the same way with 1C constant current-constant voltage method.","PeriodicalId":226881,"journal":{"name":"2019 7th International Youth Conference on Energy (IYCE)","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134018354","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These power generation systems are typically connected to distribution networks and affecting their operation. The spread of high output power connection demands the development of the infrastructure. Examination of development opportunities is done with software simulation, so the creation network models are required. To achieve a large-scale simulation, the generation of reference networks which describe real networks well is essential. In order for the reference networks to be created, clustering of real networks may be a solution. When the clusters and their parameters are defined well the software implementable of networks can be created. In this work, the clustering process of Hungarian distribution networks, the determination of the optimal cluster number, and the established network clusters are also presented.","PeriodicalId":226881,"journal":{"name":"2019 7th International Youth Conference on Energy (IYCE)","volume":"87 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134144565","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Toward the improvement in system stability, it is valuable for power system operators (PSOs) to evaluate the effects of these functions. However, it is not straightforward to evaluate the amount of volt-ampere reactive (var) injection from PV systems because var injection depends on weather conditions and on the terminal voltages of the PV systems during voltage sag. In addition, it is equally important to analyze var support from distribution systems (DSs) to accurately determine the amount of var injection in a power system since numerous PV systems are connected to DSs. In this study, we evaluate the var support at a substation of a DS with PV during a voltage sag under various weather conditions. The var injection was analyzed for several time zones and seasons to consider a change in solar radiation. A numerical simulation was conducted based on IEEE 13 Node Test Feeder Model with PV systems. The results indicated that there is a large variation in var support depending on seasons or time zones with different solar irradiance.","PeriodicalId":226881,"journal":{"name":"2019 7th International Youth Conference on Energy (IYCE)","volume":"99 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122546115","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Users of electric vehicles require high-quality distribution and well-covered charging network. The obstacles in electric mobility are small mobility of electric cars due to the lack of charging stations. The main objective of the paper is to encourage the growth of electric mobility through the development of electric vehicle charging stations. Integration of EV charging stations in public lighting infrastructure with proper demand side management (DSM) is a step forward to microgrid system deployment. It can contribute to microgrid stability and decrease distribution network dependence. Electric vehicles have a significant role in peak load shaving in microgrid due to its threefold role. They can be observed as demand side, supply side or storage. As a consumer or storage, they can take over energy surplus from a distributed generation or provide stored energy in key moments as flexible supply. In that way, they actively participate in the microgrid. Technical possibilities of EV charging stations integration in public lighting infrastructure are explored through this paper. Special attention is devoted to conditions and limitations of charging stations integration regarding power system grid, public lighting system and legislative framework. Paper provides fundamentals of EV charging stations and public lighting system where possibilities and limitations of integration are presented. Furthermore, the paper deals with limitations from the perspective of transformer capacity and cable cross sections which are obtained through analysis of calculated results.","PeriodicalId":226881,"journal":{"name":"2019 7th International Youth Conference on Energy (IYCE)","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122014517","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With the increase in size of PV power plants this problem becomes more important. Different load profiles have different correlation with the daily power generation from the PV system. Therefore, economic and technical impact of different daily load curves on grid connected PV systems should be considered. This paper gives an analysis of aforementioned problems. After the description and comparison between different load profiles and daily load curves, a simulation model is described and different situations of occurring problems are tested and analyzed. Simulations were carried out with real load profiles. Finally, this paper gives an overview of problems and gives few proposes for their solution.","PeriodicalId":226881,"journal":{"name":"2019 7th International Youth Conference on Energy (IYCE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129482298","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
