In fact, coaching for students to have character is still very minimal. This research was conducted to obtain information regarding character building which is carried out through spiritual retreats and Catechical Spirituality courses. This study involved students as research subjects. The data collection process was carried out through observation, questionnaires, discussions, and interviews with students and heads of study programs. This research provides information that through spiritual retreats, students are fostered to be able to live the character of Christ; can build a relationship with God and others. Respondents felt that spiritual retreat activities were also very useful, namely at 83.1%. But not in Catechist Spirituality lectures. According to the students, lectures are only theoretical and have no impact on increasing student awareness to live the character of Christ as a role model. Women have an important role in the Church’s liturgy, namely lectors and acolytes. This article discusses the role of women in the liturgy in the Church in Flores - NTT which is dominated by patriarchal culture. This study uses a qualitative phenomenology method to explore the meaningfulness of the theme from the women’s perspective. There were 21 respondents consisting of women who work as lecturers and IFTK Ledalero students. The result of the study show that gender bias due to the influence of patriarchal culture does not prevent women from participating in the Church’s liturgy. Even though they do not have a legal umbrella yet, the Church in Indonesia especially in Flores, has open up opportunity for women to be involved in the liturgy. Pope Francis' action to amend the canons of canon 230 § 1, is an act of respect for women, specifically the role of women in the liturgy of the Church. So through the school pastoral, it is hoped that the Christian community in the school environment will really be realized. Christian community is a fellowship whose members believe in Jesus Christ and are able to realize the teachings of Jesus Christ in their lives. Writing this scientific article aims to answer several main questions related to the relationship between pastoral schools, Christian communities and Catholic schools, these questions include: What is the essence of school pastoralism in building Christian communities in Catholic schools? Is the pastoral essence of the school in line with the idea of administering a Catholic school in accordance with the vision and mission of the Church? How is the division of tasks and responsibilities so that the pastoral school can run well? Based on the analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that school pastoral is an essential program that is really effective in efforts to build a Christian community in Catholic schools. In addition, looking at the pastoral goals of schools and the goals of Catholic schools, it can also be concluded that the pastoral essence of schools is also in line with the idea of organizing Catholic schools in accordance with the vision and mission of the Church. In realizing a good and effective school pastoral, there needs to be cooperation between the school, parents of students and the Church. The essence of understanding progressivism is to provide the widest opportunity for students (students) to develop according to their abilities, and emphasize the importance of the basics of independence and freedom for students in seeking any information that supports their development. The purpose of this study is to address the implementation of the philosophy of progressivism in Catholic religious education. The researcher uses the literature review method to collect sources related to the implementation of the philosophy of progressivism in Catholic religious education. The results of research from various church documents and several studies show that teachers are still used as the only main source who must equip themselves with knowledge in order to be able to provide correct information and knowledge to students. Students have not been given the full space to explore the available learning resources. In this study there is an offer to change the pattern of learning according to the philosophy of progressivism. The pandemic has created new problems and sufferings in human (faith) life, which not only shakes the physical life but also the life of faith. The anxiety that existed was then explored through the formulation of the problem: how is the process of faith being lived by mankind amid the current Covid-19 pandemic? To find answers to the existing problems, the author will collect various data through literature studies and analyze qualitatively by studying books on faith (especially in the teachings of the Catholic faith), journal articles, and other sources related to the author's theme. Based on the formulation of the existing problems, the authors found that having faith in the Covid-19 pandemic means surrendering (surrender) to God because being skeptical in faith is nothing but a sign that faith only stops in the mouth and without reflection of faith so that it does not grow again and bear fruit in life when faced with the difficulties, challenges, and sufferings of life. Everyone who believes in God is required to deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Him in all the impossibilities that occur.
