The French book industry is studied. Book publishing (as a branch of the country's economy) appeared in France at the end of the 18th century, and in the five centuries of its existence book publishing has come a long way, developed and improved, adapted to new conditions and actively used all the achievements of technical progress. The nineteenth century was the golden age of French literature. The European world spoke French. In the twentieth century France's position faltered. The United States, Great Britain and Germany took the first place. Therefore, in France, great importance is attached to book publishing as a way to spread knowledge about France and the French language. \u0000The article analyzes the features of book publishing and book distribution in France before the COVID-19 pandemic, highlights some features and trends in the development of the French publishing industry during the pandemic restrictions. \u0000The spread of the virus to stop or significantly reduce book production in France. The exploration analyzes the changes that have taken place in the industry as a whole and in its individual parts. In the article is given numerous classifications of the users of the Internet in accordance with their motives of using of the network, from which it follows that the psychologіcal factor plays a important part in the time of the development of own concern to Internet as a source of іnformatіon or amusement by private persons. An author comes to a conclusion that a problem of profiling of the users is unter the conditions of digіtalization, spreading of the distance learning and scientific measures in Іnternet remains insufficiently researched, it is necessary to learn a role of the Іnternet as a source of gratification of the іnformation needs that got at the students, persons, which receive a vocational training, teachers, scientists and persons that are in self-educatіon engaged and employment Internet into their leisure. \u0000An article sums up a study of rating of the Internet as a source of gratification of the іnformation needs in the structure of the leisure by population of Germany older as 14 years some too. The study is devoted to the history of the scientific and practical journal \"Bulletin of the Book Chamber\", which this year marks a quarter of a century since its first publication. Based on copies stored in the State Archives of the Printing, the author considered the defining events in the history of the journal, namely: state registration and establishment of the journal as a monthly scientific and practical publication, formulation of its goals and objectives, formation of editorial board and technical staff, which ensured the publication of the magazine, the establishment of circulation and pricing policy of the publication. The article provides a detailed content analysis of the starting issue of the \"Bulletin of the Book Chamber\", demonstrates its editorial approaches and positions at the stage of formation and definition of its own printed face. The author researched personal changes in the composition of the editorial board, commented on the process of forming the journal's rubricator, and identified the scholars who initiated its separate sections. The article focuses on assigning the journal the status of a professional publication in the fields of technical, historical and social communication sciences. New possibilities of information and communication technologies are shown, which provide creation of integrated unity — resources, products, services for satisfaction of needs of users through increase in a share of information and analytical products and services. Important information and analytical products, resources, services, such as the electronic scientific agricultural library, databases on current issues, including international electronic resources, are presented. The work of the library as a center for methodological support and coordination of work on the formation of bibliometric profiles of agricultural scientists and provides a range of services aimed at improving the efficiency of the scientific community and positioning agricultural science in the international scientific and educational space. It is found that this area of activities in the institution is promising, as it involves further theoretical and methodological, scientific and practical research on working with science-intensive information resources and determining the scientific publication activities of scientists of the NAAS system. It is proved that thanks to new opportunities of information and communication technologies, services introduced in the National Scientific Agricultural Library there are transformations into an integrated unity — resources and products, which in turn provide new opportunities with a wider service coverage in user service.
