The energy levels (positive and negative parity states), electric transition probability B(E2), magnetic transition probability B(M1), quadrupole and magnetic dipole moments have been studied in this work. The IBFFM results are compared with the available experimental data. In the present work, the IBFFM pattern of total and parametric dependent level densities for the odd-odd nucleus <sup>134</sup>Cs is investigated and compared to the pattern found in previous investigations in the framework of combinatorial and spectral distribution approaches. When comparing the theoretical values with the available experimental values, it was found that there is a good match between them. This is due to the values of the Hamiltonian parameters that were found accurately, so this IBFFM model is considered one of the effective models in studying the nuclear structure of odd-odd nuclei. The level density of the odd-odd nucleus <sup>196</sup>Au is investigated in the interacting boson-fermion-fermion model (IBFFM) which accounts for collectivity and complex interaction between quasiparticle and collective modes. The IBFFM spin-dependent level densities show high-spin reduction with respect to Bethe formula. This can be well accounted for by a modified spin-dependent level density formula.","PeriodicalId":208155,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Modern Energy","volume":" 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140691053","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is due to the fact that fuel and iron ore are reduced using non-renewable energy sources like coal and charcoal. A tonne of iron is produced, and that produces roughly 1.9 tonnes of CO<sub>2</sub> gas. It is necessary to switch to clean energy sources from conventional carbon-emitting sources in order to lower emissions from the iron and steel industry. Hydrogen is a substitute fuel that has the potential to replace carbon-emitting fuel in the iron and steel sectors, according to the present trend in clean energy development. Hydrogen can be employed as a reducing agent in blast furnaces as an auxiliary or as the only reducing agent in the direct reduction process, which is how iron and steel are produced. Water is the only byproduct of the electrolysis process, which creates green hydrogen using renewable energy sources. In the iron industry, using green hydrogen can lower intensive carbon emissions. Green steel or iron production costs can be competitive and less carbon intensive if the cost of producing green hydrogen is low. In this paper, the steel and iron production from green hydrogen is studied to contribute to developing the conceptual design along with challenges for handling the hydrogen in these industries and compared with the conventional carbon-based process. In addition, the economic assessment for the production of steel from a green hydrogen-based process.","PeriodicalId":208155,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Modern Energy","volume":"656 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140446162","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Despite of multiple social economic, health and environmental benefit of improved cook stove program, the program failed to capture the recognition worldwide and a set of sociocultural, economic, institutional barriers and cook stove and fuel characteristics contribute to the slow adoption of this program. This paper provides an evidence of household driving factors that play a crucial role in the uptake of improved cook stove empirically in Rwanda. The study was based on fifth integrated household living standards survey (EICV-5) carried by National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda. Using binary logistic regression analysis, the study shows that homeownership, age of household head, household location and household size are the main significant household factors influencing the adoption of improved cook stove while value of cook stove, amount spent on cooking fuel and time spend on cooking fuels are the most significant stove and fuel factors determining the adoption of usage of improved cook stove. The study revealed that for substantially improved rate of adoption they should be consistent and focused cooperation of government and non -governmental organizations to work in parallel for developing energy policy frameworks like dissemination of improved cook stoves.","PeriodicalId":208155,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Modern Energy","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134515643","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the coming years, energy storage will play a key role in an efficient and renewable energy future; more than it does in today’s fossil-based energy economy. There are different strategies for energy storage. Among these strategies, storage of mechanical energy via suitable media is broadly utilized by human beings. Mechanical energy storage systems (MESS) are among the utmost effective and sustainable energy storage systems. There are three main types of mechanical energy storage systems; pumped hydro, flywheel, and compressed air. This review discusses the recent progress in mechanical energy storage systems focusing on compressed air energy storage (CAES). It also discusses the advances and evolution in compressed air energy storage (CAES) technologies which improve the thermal process and incorporate CAES with other subsystems to improve system efficiency and compares these technologies in terms of their performance, capacity, response, and utilizations as well as the challenges facing CAES as emissions that may harm the environment, the consumption of fossil fuels or requiring certain geological formations then modifications and developments to overcome these challenges.","PeriodicalId":208155,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Modern Energy","volume":"713 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116971477","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The decisions considered are five fundamental cooking fuels: wood, charcoal, gas, lamp oil and generator; Using the Integrated Household Living Condition Surveys from 2010 up to 2017 (EICVs 2010-2017) data, the study identifies the driving forces that underpin and support the household's decision of fuel for cooking and investigates the fundamental factors that decide decision of essential cooking fuel choices in Rwanda. The descriptive results showed the higher dependency on biomass cooking fuel among Rwandan households with 84.55 percent for firewood usage and 12 percent for charcoal usage for cooking and the result multinomial logit revealed that location of living arrangement, home possession, household size, type of marriage, household income level, and type of habitant play significant role in explaining the probability of cooking fuel choices within households. Further the results show that clean energy is bound to be utilized in urban families, where household with high income more often use LPG compare to others. The study also showed that main stream of household in Rwanda depend on more on non-clean energy while cooking, and this is more pronounced in rural households.","PeriodicalId":208155,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Modern Energy","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122922682","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
