{"title":"Preface to Volume 7","authors":"Maozu Guo, Liang Zhao","doi":"10.1109/icnc.2008.979","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/icnc.2008.979","url":null,"abstract":"Following the success of the 1st International Conference on Natural Computation (ICNC 2005) in Changsha, ICNC 2006 in Xi’an, and ICNC 2007 in Hainan, ICNC 2008 was held jointly with the 5th International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery (FSKD 2008) from 18 to 20 October 2008 in Jinan, Shandong province, China. ICNC 2008 received 1875 submissions from 38 countries/regions. After rigorous reviews, 914 high-quality papers were selected for publication in the ICNC 2008 proceedings. The acceptance rate was 48.7%.
