These networks are mostly formed by acoustic sensor nodes and surface sinks called buoys that are connected to any onshore control centre. The reliable delivery of sensed data to the surface sink is a challenging task as compared to forwarding the collected data to the control centre. Acoustic channel characteristics create many problems like, low available bandwidth, large propagation delays and high error probability that restrict the efficiency of UWSNs. Beside these, availability of limited resources and continuous node movements are major threats for the reliable data deliveries. With these constraints, it is a difficult task to design a protocol which has the ability to maximize the reliability of these networks. In this paper we provide a reliability model in order to insure the reliable data deliveries to the surface sinks. For this, we proposed two hop acknowledgment (2H-ACK) reliability model, where two copies of the same data packet are maintained in the network without extra burden on the available resources. Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is a collection of wireless mobile terminals that are able to dynamically form a temporary network without any aid from fixed infrastructure or centralized administration. In this paper, we present the implementation and analysis of our implemented MANET simulation system considering Ad-hoc On demand Distance Vector (AODV), Dynamic MANET On-demand (DYMO) and Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR) protocols for wireless multi-hop networking. We investigate the effect of mobility and topology changing in MANET. We study the impact of source and destination movement for indoor environment. In this work, we consider three models: stationary, source and destination movement scenario and random way-point models. We assess the performance of our simulation system in terms of throughput, number of received packets and hop distance. From the results, we found that the AODV protocol has a good performance when the source and destination nodes are moving. When transmitting compressed video across the Internet, however, one of the main challenges is packet error/loss. High coding dependencies among video frames suffer from vulnerability to packet loss, which impacts the playback quality of video streaming. Losing an frame importance may cause a set of frames loss or damage as well. In this paper, we propose an effective important frame decision scheme in which the playback quality is considered. Standardizations of network techniques for real-time traffic over Ethernet are in progress in IEEE 802.1 AVB TG. In this paper, Active MSRP which is based on IEEE 802.1Qat-a bandwidth reservation method-was proposed. In various reservation scenarios, Active MSRP processes a procedure of bandwidth reservation failure for time sensitive traffic. If reservation failure is occurred at node or bridge, active MSRP sends reservation failed messages to other nodes and bridges. Those nodes and bridges which received reservation failed messages release a bandwidth of prepared service and withdraw reservation information of the service. Active MSRP releases a bandwidth adaptively so that it is more efficient for network utilization than IEEE 802.1Qat. We have discussed a power consumption model for communication-based applications. Then, we have proposed a pair of PCB (power consumption-based) and TRB (transmission rate-based) algorithms to select a server so that the total power consumption of the servers is reduced. In addition, we showed the PCB algorithm is more useful for reducing the total power consumption in the communication-based applications. However, in the PCB algorithm, only the power consumption where a server transmits a file to a client at time T when the server starts transmitting the file is considered. The server might be transmitting files to other clients at time T. Therefore, the power consumption where the server transmits files to other clients has to be considered for enhancing the estimation of the power consumption. In this paper, we propose an extended power consumption-based (EPCB) algorithm by improving the PCB algorithm. The P2P communication has been applied to diverse systems such as the VoIP and the file sharing system for the P2P potential ability. The distributed file sharing system over the P2P network using DHT (Distributed Hash Table) can especially provide the quick search, while the file accesses from the remote user does not follow the uniform distribution causing the degradation of searching performance. In addition, the DHT algorithm has been mainly evaluated using simulators leading to the difficulties to evaluate the actual performance of message transmission on real world. In this paper, we propose the new framework to implement DHT algorithm into the real environment using the MPI (Message Passing Interface). Especially, the step wised implementation is applied into our proposed system to clarify the performance deadlock on the real world.
