The rich natural resources like uranium attracted several Multinational Corporations (MNCs) to set up for the Exploration, Expropriation and Exploitation (3Es). Yet, the country remains one of the poorest and under developed for 63 years after independence but was crowned in the position of Heavily Indebted Poor Country Initiatives (HIPC). Unfortunately for France as the main consumer of Niger’s resources through the use of pro-French leaders of the country, the 21st Century was not going to be the same as it recently happened in the previous four decades of the 20th Century. To that effect, a New Generation of West African Leaders (NGWAL) from Mali, Burkina-Faso and Mali individual decided to take the bull by the horns with main objective to overthrow Purported Pro- French Civilian Leaders (PPFCL) in order to end all the mechanisms and networks of neo-colonialism as impediments to National Development and Unity (NDU) which in turns fuelled periods of social unrest and political instabilities since the 1960s. Therefore, Niger was not left out in this neo-colonial dance of the third decade of the 21st Century as it happened in 2023 with strong sentimental feelings in favour of the suffering Nigeriens. The scrutinized of specialized sources of information enable us to use a historical approach with our findings that Niger is on good footing towards new structural developmental agenda without any single dictatorial prescriptions from the neo-colonial men of Western Europe.","PeriodicalId":191933,"journal":{"name":"Saudi Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences","volume":"60 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140424172","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

English has always been the traditional main subject of education at all levels in China, whether primary school, middle school, high school and university, all occupy a pivotal position. And in middle school education, English performance can affect the situation of admission, and English is also a subject with a huge gap. Middle school is a key period to learn English. How should we learn English well? As we all know, the important condition for learning English well is vocabulary. Only by mastering vocabulary can we learn English well. Vocabulary is the basis of learning English well. However, from the current situation of junior high school students learning vocabulary, it is not optimistic, and students face many difficulties to master vocabulary. The main difficulties we have include: firstly, students, only have single memory method and insufficient memory s in vocabulary memory skills, which make them difficult to master the vocabulary. secondly, the traditional classroom teaching approach is single, boring and inefficient; thirdly, many teachers ignore thinking and interest cultivation, and students can only memorize words and phrases, difficult to use flexibly in life, so that students often lack interest in vocabulary, and will be afraid when they face with vocabulary. we can’t learn English well in such a situation. Now, it is a common challenge for teachers and students to change the situation at present. In order that students can better master vocabulary, for this reason, teachers can find more appropriate teaching methods to change the dilemma they face. With the further research on the theories of vocabulary teaching, we understand some relevant teaching approaches and theories gradually, such as situational language teaching (SLT). Due to introduction of SLT, it has played a great influence in China’s basic education and made great progress in China’s education. Although the current situational teaching method is often used in English teaching, it has not always been applied to vocabulary teaching. It is unclear whether SLT is suitable for vocabulary teaching and can improve the efficiency of vocabulary teaching and change the current situation. Therefore, this article studies whether SLT is applicable to English vocabulary teaching in middle schools and verifies whether it is effective. However, SLT through the data analysis of post-trial test and questionnaire is suitable and feasible. By creating a real situation, let the students experience the true feelings, and then master the vocabulary, improve the interest in learning, improve the classroom efficiency. By creating a real situation, let the students experience the true feelings, and then master the vocabulary, improve the interest in learning, improve the classroom efficiency.","PeriodicalId":191933,"journal":{"name":"Saudi Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences","volume":"7 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140442220","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Koongo nation is no exception. It has a mythology that relates how the muuntu, the primordial being, in its primitive uniqueness, split into two individual entities, each retaining its specificity, and, at the same time, the trace of this ontological split. From this ontological split in primordial being came man and woman. The aim of this paper is to show how, from this ontological split, the symbolism of the woman, who has become the most prominent social figure in Koongo civilization, has imposed itself to the point of structuring the entire Koongo imaginary, so that the man is reduced to the role of stooge, charged with magnifying and dignifying the image of the woman.","PeriodicalId":191933,"journal":{"name":"Saudi Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences","volume":"30 43","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139388666","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The methodology of this paper was based on suggesting some tourism brochures about six different cultures and destinations. Each brochure includes, the culture, a photo of one of the landmarks, a quote from one of the icons of the targeted culture, an ICC concept, the cultural purpose and “Dos” and Don’ts”. This paper is original since it presents new and creative ideas, applies new method of promoting both tourism and intercultural understanding, and even provides a new vision for developing tourism sector. This article investigates how Nollywood films depict Lagos using sociological theory that emphasizes representing society as it is. It begins with the city's historical evolution, emphasizing its role as Nigeria's entertainment capital and its impact on the film industry. The article underlines how Nollywood films influence perceptions of Lagos, advocating for balanced portrayals. It analyzes three Nollywood films to illustrate the city's diverse character. These films represent different facets of Lagos, showcasing its dynamic and diverse character. Findings from the study reveal that while some filmmakers aim to promote Lagos as an attractive and vibrant city, there is a need for a balanced representation of the city's various aspects. The article also addresses the ethical responsibility of filmmakers to inform viewers when a film is purely fictional or contains elements of reality. These challenges which have been discovered to be a result of societal prejudice/misconceptions, limited resources, inability to access necessary facilities/resources, educational discrimination/limitations, employment discrimination, and policy gaps can present significant obstacles to their abilities to acquire and execute skills that will make them self-sustainable and contribute meaningfully to society, ultimately hindering collective national sustainable development. This study adopts a comprehensive study of relevant literature, observation, and interview at centres for PWDs to address the societal attitudes, discriminatory practices, and specific obstacles faced by PWDs in Nigeria. A comparison of inclusive practices in other developing and developed nations were made to show the progress Nigeria has made and the gaps that need to be filled. The study further explores the negative impacts of exclusion on national sustainability, and the implications of disability inclusion on the promotion of economic, social, political, and environmental sustainability in Nigeria. Conclusively, this research proposes some recommendations to address the barriers limiting disability inclusion in Nigeria, through the employment of specific strategies such as creating awareness of disability issues, providing accommodations, promoting inclusive policies, and engaging in community-based rehabilitation programs which when implemented will improve the quality of life of PWDs, thus promoting their contribution to national sustainable development.","PeriodicalId":191933,"journal":{"name":"Saudi Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences","volume":"7 5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139011543","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The activities and contents of the websites were studied to ascertain if they help matters by providing the needed materials for the ‘Hausa academic world’. The areas and forms of weaknesses of the sites were studied accordingly. It has been observed that the Hausa websites are dominated by several challenges ranging from socio-political to environmental.
