Itik dipelihara di areal persawahan setelah habis panen padi. Pada tahap awal itik dipelihara mulai dari umur satu hari sampai 14 hari di pelihara di kandang, kemudian pada umur 14 hari itik di pindahkan ke areal persawahan dan di angonkan sepanjang hari (24 jam). Itik mencari makanannya sendiri dan beraktipitas di areal persawahan. Pemeliharaan dan penelitian akan berlangsung selama 2.5 sampai 3 bulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemeliharaan itik lokal di areal persawahan sangat menguntungkan buat peternak yang berada di Desa Sei Tuan, Kecamatan Pantai Labu, Kebupaten Deli Serdang. \u0000Kata Kunci: Analisa Usaha Itik Lokal, Digembalakan Pada Areal Persawahan. \u0000  \u0000ABSTRACT \u0000This study aims to analyze the profitability of local duck farming using a free-range system in rice fields in Sei Tuan village. Ducks are kept in the rice fields after the rice hervest. At an early stage the ducks are kept from one day to the age of 14 days kept in the stable. Then at the age of 14 days old the duck be trasferred to the rice fielt area and aerated 24 hours a day. Ducks look for their own foot and move in the rice fields. maintenance will take place 2,5 months to 3 months. The results of this study indicate that the maintenance of local ducks in rice fields is very beneficial for farmenrs in the village of Sei Tuan, Kecamatan Pantai Labu, Kebupaten Deli Serdang. \u0000Keywords : analysis of local duck buisiness. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh exercise terhadap kualitas spermatozoa sapi simmental. Penelitian ini mengunakan tiga ekor sapi jantan yang berumur 2-3 tahun. Analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. P0: spermatozoa ditampung tanpa exercise. P1: spermatozoa ditampung dengan exercise 5 menit. P2: spermatozoa ditampung dengan exercise 10 menit. P3: spermatozoa ditampung dengan exercise 15 menit yang dilakukan sebelum penampungan. Parameter yang diamati dalam penelitian ini meliputi gerak massa, gerak individu, konsentrasi, viabilitas (persentase hidup – mati). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemeriksaan adalah volume semen rata-rata 4,2 ml  dengan rataan 2,5 – 7,5, warna putih susu dan krem, pH 7 konsistensi sedang-kental. Rataan gerak massa 2,35 ± 0,25. Gerak individu 2,00 ± 0,00, konsentrasi 1.946 ± 179,20, viabilitas 77,11 ± 3,14 dapat disimpulkan bahwa perlakuan exercise tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap kualitas spermatozoa sapi simmental. \u0000Kata kunci: exercise, spermatozoa, sapi simmental. \u0000  \u0000ABSTRACT \u0000The study of the effect of exercise on the quality of spermatozoa in simmental cattle was carried out in the UPTD Laboratory of Artificial Insemination of the Food and Animal Husbandry Service of North Sumatra Province. The purpose of this study was to find out how much influence exercise has on the quality of simmental cow spermatozoa. This study used three bulls aged 2-3 years. The data analysis used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications. P0: spermatozoa are collected without exercise. P1: The spermatozoa is accommodated by a 5-minute exercise. P2: spermatozoa are accommodated by a 10-minute exercise. P3: Spermatozoa are collected by a 15-minute exercise carried out before the shelter. The parameters observed in this study included mass motion, individual motion, concentration, viability (percentage of life - death). The results showed that the examination was an average cement volume of 4.2 ml with an average of 2.5 - 7.5, milky white and creamy, pH 7 medium-thick consistency. Average mass motion 2.35 ± 0.25. Dalam upaya perkembangan populasi ternak terutama ternak sapi, diperlukan langkah pengendalian penyakit. Penelitin ini dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Kutalimbaru Kabupaten Deli Serdang mulai dari bulan Desember 2018 sampai bulan Februari 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode preparat ulas darah tipis dan diperiksa di Balai Veteriner Medan. Sampel diperoleh melalui Purposive Sampling dan diperoleh 100 darah sapi sebagai sampel, yaitu desa Sei Mencirim (20 sampel), desa Sawit Rejo (13 sampel), desa Silebo-lebo (11 sampel), desa Sampe Cita (45 sampel), dan desa Pasar X (11 sampel). Hasil penelitian menunjukan dari keempat parameter yang diamati yaitu Babesiosis 0%, Theileriosis 33%, Anaplasmosis 0%, dan Trypanosoma 0%. Kesimpulannya adalah pola pemeliharaan ternak, kondisi kandang, dan pengetahuan peternak menjadi faktor utama penyakit parasit darah pada ternak sapi. \u0000Kata Kunci : Prevalensi, Babesiosis, Theileriosis, Anaplasmosis, dan Trypanosoma. \u0000  \u0000ABSTRACT \u0000This study aims to calculate “Prevalence of Blood Parasites in Cattle in Kutalimbaru Subdistrict, Deli Serdang Regency”. In an effort to develop livestock populations, especially cattle, disease control measures are needed. This research was conducted in Kutalimbaru Subdistrict, Deli Serdang Regency, starting from December 2018 to February 2019. This study used a thin blood pressure preparation method and was examined at Medan Veterinary Center. Samples were obtained through Purposive Sampling and obtained 100 cattle blood as a sample, namely Sei Mencirim village (20 samples), Sawit Rejo village (13 samples), Silebo-lebo village (11 samples), Sampe Cita (45 samples), and Pasar X village (11 samples). The results showed that the four parameters observed were Babesiosis 0%, Theileriosis 0%, Anaplasmosis 0%, and Trypanosoma 0%. Metode yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu P0 = (Kontrol), P1 = pakan komersil + tepung daun sirsak 50 gram per kilogram pakan, P2 = pakan komersil + tepung daun sirsak 100 gram per kilogram pakan, P3 = pakan komersil + tepung daun sirsak 150 gram per kilogram pakan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemberian tepung daun sirsak tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertambahan bobot badan (P>0.05) pakan kontrol (P0) dengan nilai tertinggi sebesar 13,59 (gr/ekor/hari) kemudian konsumsi pakan (P>0.05) P0 dengan nilai terendah sebesar 38,89 (gr/ekor/hari), dan konversi pakan (P>0.05) terendah pakan kontrol (P0) sebesar 2,89. \u0000Kata Kunci : Ayam Jawa Super, Pertambahan Bobot Badan, Konsumsi Pakan, Konversi Pakan. \u0000  \u0000ABSTRACT \u0000This study aims to determine the effect of giving soursop leaf flour (annona moricata l) as a feed additive to the performance of hens. It was carried out at Jalan Amal Desa Tanjung Anom, Pancur Batu District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province. The method used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments given were P0 = (Control), P1 = commercial feed + 50 grams of soursop leaf flour per kilogram of feed, P2 = commercial feed + 100 grams of soursop leaf flour per kilogram of feed, P3 = commercial feed + 150 grams of soursop leaf flour per kilogram feed. Ayam broiler sebagai penghasil daging mempunyai pertumbuhan yang cepat, dengan deposisi lemak dan protein tinggi. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui pengaruh pemberian 3% ekstrak kombinasi tumbuhan obat daun pepaya, daun alpukat, herba meniran, daun sirsak, kunyit dan temulawak dengan berbagai rasio terhadap kadar protein ayam broiler.Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimental. Metode penelitian meliputi penyiapan bahan uji berupa pengumpulan dan pengolahan tumbuhan, identifikasi tumbuhan dengan cara studi pustaka, pembuatan serbuk simplisia, pembuatan ekstrak etanol dari daun pepaya, daun sirsak dan herba meniran, pembuatan ekstrak akuades dari daun sirsak, kunyit, dan temulawak, pembuatan pakan yang diformulasikan dengan kombinasi ekstrak tumbuhan obat sesuai dengan formula, pemeliharaan ayam, pengambilan sampel daging ayam, serta pengujian sampel daging yakni analisis kadar protein daging ayam dengan menggunakan metode Kjedahl. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari empat perlakuan dan enam ulangan. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan sidik ragam (ANOVA) dan dibandingkan secara deskriptif dengan F0 yang menggunakan pakan komersial.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan kombinasi ekstrak tumbuhan obat sebanyak 3% tidak mempengaruhi kadar protein daging ayam. Hasil analisis sidik ragam (ANOVA) menunjukkan bahwa penambahan ekstrak kombinasi tumbuhan obat tidak memberikan pengaruh yang nyata (sig.> 0.05) terhadap kadar protein daging ayam broiler. \u0000Kata Kunci : Broiler; Ekstrak Kombinasi Tumbuhan Obat; Kadar Protein. \u0000  \u0000ABSTRACT \u0000Broiler chicken is a cheap source of animal protein. Broiler chickens as meat producers have fast growth, with high fat and protein deposition. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving 3% combination extracts of medicinal plants papaya leaves, avocado leaves, meniran herbs, soursop leaves, turmeric and temulawak with various ratios on the protein content of broiler chickens. This study was an experimental study. The research method includes the preparation of test materials in the form of collecting and processing plants, identifying plants by means of a literature study, making simplicia powder, making ethanol extracts from papaya leaves, soursop leaves and meniran herbs, making aquadest extracts from soursop leaves, turmeric, and temulawak, making feed. which is formulated with a combination of medicinal plant extracts according to the formula, raising chickens, taking samples of chicken meat, and testing meat samples, namely the analysis of protein content of chicken meat using the Kjedahl method. Penelitian dilaksakan di peternakan domba milik Bapak Umar yang berlokasi di jalan Asahan, Kota Pematangsiantar, pada bulan Oktober -Desember 2021. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan menggunakan domba dengan rataan bobot awal 12,65± 1,00 kg. Perlakuan terdiri dari 5 level pemberian pod kakao fermentasi P0 : (0%), P1 : (20%), P2 : (40%), P3 : (60%), P4 : (80%). Parameter yang diamati adalah : persentase bobot kepala, kaki, kulit, ekor, trakea dan paru-paru, hati, jantung, ginjal, darah, perut majemuk dan usus. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa persentase bobot non karkas eksternal seperti kepala, kaki dan ekor menunjukkan hasil yang tidak nyata pada setiap perlakuan (P>0,05). Persentase non karkas internal seperti trakea dan paru-paru, hati, jantung, darah, perut majemuk, usus dan organ eksternal yaitu kulit menunjukkan pengaruh nyata (P<0,05), dimana perlakuan dengan pemberian ransum yang mengandung pod kakao fermentasi dengan komposisi Pakan Komplit (Hijauan 40% + Pod kakao fermentasi 40% + Konsentrat) lebih baik dibandingkan dengan perlakuan lainnya. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian ransum yang mengandung pod kakao 40% lebih baik dibandingkan dengan perlakuan lainnya. \u0000Kata Kunci : pod kakao; fermentasi; non karkas; domba lokal \u0000  \u0000ABSTRACT \u0000The purpose of this experiment (research) are to examine the effect of giving fermented cocoa pods to the percentage of nonlocal carcasses of lamb. The research was carried out on Mr Umar's sheep farm located on Jl. Asahan, Pematangsiantar City, in October-December 2021. The experiment was conducted in the complete randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications using sheep with an average initial weight of 12.65 ± 1 kg. The treatment consisted of 5 levels of fermented cocoa pods P0 : (0%), P1 : (20%), P2 : (40%), P3 : (60%), P3 : (80%). The parameters observed were: weight of head, foot, skin, tail, trachea and lungs, liver, heart, blood and digestive tract.The results showed that the nonweight percentage external carcass like the head, feet and tail show results which is not real at each treatment (P> 0.05) and significant. to percentage non internal carcass like trachea and lungs, liver, heart, blood, compound stomach, intestines and external organs namely skin shows influence real (P <0.05), where treatment with giving rations containing pods cocoa is fermentating with Comprehensive Feed composition (Forage 40% + Pod cocoa 40% fermentation + concentrate) better than that other treatment. Data dianalisis dengan Uji T digunakan untuk mengetahui perbedaan konsumsi pakan, pertambahan bobot badan, konversi pakan dan mortalitas ayam broiler pada dataran rendah dan tinggi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata konsumsi pakan terbaik didataran rendah yaitu 101.10 g/ekor/hari dan di dataran tinggi yaitu 96.13 g/ekor/hari, namun rata-rata pertambahan bobot badan terbaik yaitu pada dataran tinggi sebesar 60.29 g/e/hari dan dataran rendah sebesar 57.43 g/ekor/hari, konversi pakan terbaik pada pemeliharaan dataran tinggi 1,53 dan dataran rendah 1,71. Dan untuk moratalitas terbaik pada pemeliharaan di dataran tinggi sebesar 3.78 % dan di dataran rendah 4.98 %. \u0000Kata Kunci : Dataran Tinggi; Dataran Rendah; Performans; Ayam Broiler. \u0000  \u0000ABSTRACT \u0000The purpose of this study was to determine the productivity of broiler chickens from the differences between the highlands and the lowlands. This research method is descriptive quantitative, that is, the type of research that describes the maintenance of raising broiler chickens in the lowlands and highlands. Data analyzed by T test was used to determine differences in feed consumption, body weight gain, feed conversion and mortality of broiler chickens in the lowlands and highlands. The results of the analysis showed that the best average feed consumption in the lowlands was 101.10 g/head/day and in the highlands it was 96.13 g/head/day, but the best average body weight gain was in the highlands of 60.29 g/e/day. and in the lowlands of 57.43 g/head/day, the best feed conversion was in the highlands of 1.53 and 1.71 in the lowlands. Beberapa metode telah dikembangkan untuk memprediksi berat badan berdasarkan ukuran linear tubuh. Metode penelitian dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif,dengan cara wawancara kepada peternak dan pengambilan data dengan cara pengukuran panjang badan, tinggi gumba,lingkar dada. Penggunaan rumus modifikasi baru lebih tepat digunakan dalam penentuan bobot badan sapi PO betina di Kecamatan Bahorok, karena selisih berat badan asli tidak terlalu tinggi dengan selisih berat badan menggunakan rumus modifikasi baru dengan nilai rataan sebesar 21,78 dan dengan standar deviasi sebesar 13,20. Rumus Schrool dan rumus Winter Indonesia maupun rumus modifikasi lama tidak akurat digunakan karena rataan selisih dan standar deviasi diantaranya banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi, meliputi faktor lingkungan dan faktor genetik. \u0000Kata Kunci : Sapi Peranakan Ongole; body condition score (BCS); Rumus Modifikasi. \u0000  \u0000ABSTRACT \u0000PO cattle have several advantages, namely being able to adapt to various environmental conditions, these cows are raised as beef cattle. Several methods have been developed to predict body weight based on linear body measurements. The research method used descriptive method, by interviewing breeders and collecting data by measuring body length, gumba height, and chest circumference. The use of the new modified formula is more appropriate in determining the body weight of female PO cattle in Bahorok District, because the difference in the original body weight is not too high with the difference in body weight using the new modified formula with an average value of 21.78 and a standard deviation of 13.20. Beberapa tumbuhan seperti daun pepaya, daun alpukat, daun sirsak, herba meniran, kunyit, dan temulawak merupakan tumbuhan yang memiliki aktivitas sebagai antibakteri, antiparasit, menurunkan kadar kolesterol, meningkatkan sistem imun, dan meningkatkan metabolisme sehingga memiliki potensi sebagai feed additive dalam sediaan formulasi. Formula diuji dengan pemberian pakan pada ayam yang dapat digunakan oleh masyarakat. Metode pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling dengan tahapan yaitu daun pepaya, daun alpukat, daun sirsak, herba meniran, kunyit dan temulawak masing-masing diekstraksi maserasi dan dekok menggunakan pelarut etanol dan aquadest kemudian di formulasi dan dilakukan pencampuran ke dalam ransum yang di uji terhadap 24 ekor ayam broiler. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan kemudian data dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA. Parameter yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah bobot badan ayam broiler. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi ekstrak tumbuhan obat sebagai Feed Additive secara umum mampu meningkatkan bobot badan, bahkan pada Formulasi 1 memberikan pengaruh meningkatkan bobot badan akhir ayam broiler yang paling besar. Hal ini menunjukkan ekstrak tumbuhan obat Formulasi 1 memiliki efek terhadap peningkatan bobot badan. \u0000Kata Kunci : Feed Additive; Bobot Badan; Ekstrak; Tumbuhan Obat; Ayam broiler. \u0000  \u0000ABSTRACT \u0000Feed Additives are additional ingredients used in animal feed to get optimal livestock growth. Some plants such as papaya leaves, avocado leaves, soursop leaves, meniran herbs, turmeric, and javanese tumeric are plants that have activities as antibacterial, antiparasitic, reduce cholesterol levels, increase the immune system, and increase metabolism so that it has the potential as feed additives for the formulation. The formula is tested by feeding it to the chicken that can be used by the community. The method used was purposive sampling which is extraction by maceration and decoction of papaya leaves, avocado leaves, soursop leaves, herbaceous meniran, turmeric and javanese tumeric using ethanol and aquadest as the solvents then formulated and mixed into rations then tested against 24 broilers. The design used in the research is the Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 handling and 6 replications than the data were analyzed using ANOVA. The parameter observed for this study was the body weight of broiler chickens. The results showed that the combination of medicinal plant extracts as a Feed Additive generally was able to increase body weight of the broiler chickens, even in Formulation 1, the body weight of broiler chickens increased the largest.
