We use a hierarchical unsupervised fuzzy ART neural network to represent the data cluster prototypes and describe missing input patterns based on the network. We then estimate missing inputs by a spatial-temporal imputation technique. ARQ is ineffective because of excessive retransmissions; FEC also becomes ineffective when excessive coding redundancy is required for adequate error correction. When interference is widespread across the channels, FH becomes ineffective as well. Additional interference control may therefore be needed. In this paper, we study two heuristic schemes that throttle the incoming traffic rate according to the level of interference in the transmission channels, where FH, ARQ and FEC are already employed. We analyze and compare the throughput, delay and loss of the two rate controls in combination with FEC and FH. The sensor network uses an unsupervised fuzzy Adaptive Resonance Theory (ART) neural network to learn and detect intruders in a previously unknown environment. Upon the detection of an intruder, a mobile robot travels to the position where the intruder is detected to investigate. The wireless sensor network uses a hierarchical communication/learning structure, where the mobile robot is the root node of the tree. Our fuzzy ART network is based on Kulakov and Davcev's implementation [6]. We enhanced the fuzzy ART neural network to learn a time-series and detect time-related changes using a Markov model. The proposed architecture is tested on physical hardware. Their use in designing an embedded system allows for low circuit size, portability, low cost, small power consumption, low path latency, high data rate processing, while protecting design from obsolescence, and allowing past deployment customization. Traditional data monitoring systems are computer-based. In many fields like industrial or medical fields, it is difficult to bring a computer into these fields due to various restrictions like power consumption, size and cost. By using high density Filed Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) technologies, stand-alone data monitoring systems can be designed. In this research, time varying data is monitored and plotted on a graphical display module using a novel stand-alone system design. That system is capable of monitoring continuous time varying data by plotting it graphically without the use of a personal computer. We improve this prior approach in three aspects. First, we show how Principal Components Analysis (PCA) can be used to automatically generate a small number of sensor features that should be used during the learning of the model of normal operation. Second, we implement three different algorithms for clustering sensor data in SAFDetection and compare their fault detection rates on physical robot team tasks, to determine the best technique for clustering sensor data while learning the model of normal team task operation. A third improvement we present is to modify the state transition probability from constant to a time-variant variable to describe the operation of the robot system more accurately. Introducing a point defect in the center of a two dimensional slab with triangular lattice of air holes, acts as an optical laser cavity for trapping photons. Several design issues should be noticed in photonic crystal cavities to achieve better lasing action. This is the crucial part of the design which is determined here by desired characteristics for photonic device. Then we have investigated the effect of changing radius of air holes in a triangular lattice of a 2D photonic crystal semiconductor laser on electric field pattern, based on reported observations and experimental measurements. A microdisk structure with central defect has been used in simulations. We propose the Perceptron Training Rule for keyword extraction from titles and abstracts. We present a system for generating keywords which relies on weights of words in a sentence. The system generates keywords from academic research articles by selecting the most relevant keywords. Proposed method simplifies the multiplication procedure to evaluate the reactive components from instantaneous power signal using peculiar properties of the WF. One of the advantages of proposed measurement approach is that in contrast to the known existing methods which involve phase shift operation of the input signal, the proposed technique does not require the time delay of the current signal to the pi/2 with respect to the voltage signal. Another advantage is related to the computational saving properties of the proposed approach coming from use of the Walsh Transform (WT) based signal processing method. Proposed method eliminates an influence of the prevalent third order current harmonic to and reduces the effect of the highest order current harmonics on the RP measurement results.
