Most undergraduate laboratories are becoming poorly equipped due to rising cost of laboratory equipment. Compared to its traditional counterparts, NI ELVIS provides a low-cost solution for laboratory instrumentation since a suite of virtual instruments operating through a plug-in data acquisition (DAQ) board and a proto-board is readily available at relatively low cost. We have performed some experiments in electronics utilizing NI ELVIS. The purpose of these algorithms is to remove noise from a signal that might occur through the transmission of an image. A new algorithm, the spatial median filter, is introduced and compared with current image smoothing techniques. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm is comparable to these techniques. Many off-grid wind power systems are home-built by energy conscience hobbyists. Building alternators of this type often require stators to also be built from scratch. The task of winding stators for an axial flux alternator is tedious and complicated. Recently, printed circuit board stators have appeared in the market place. The performance of these radical new stators has, until now, been unknown. Dynamic reconfiguration is a way to make changes to software systems at runtime, while typical software changes involve the shutting down and rebooting of software systems. Therefore, dynamic reconfiguration can provide continuous availability for software systems. However, its processes are still complicated and error- prone due to the intervention of human beings. This research describes an aspect-oriented approach to dynamic reconfiguration for Java applications, providing software maintainers with systematic and controlled reconfiguration processes. The features of aspect-oriented programming systems, such as aspect weaving and code instrumentation, are appropriate to the problems of dynamic reconfiguration. This proposed approach is intended to minimize the efforts of software engineers, to enable automated dynamic reconfiguration, and to ensure the integrity of software systems. In this paper we overview peak shift, centroid, polynomial fit, and raw point methods of mathematical wavelength shift calculation. We also investigate raw data based, integral, and slope based proportional integral derivative (PID) methods of wavelength tracking for temperature tunable laser tracking. Extensive study is being done presently on this subject as transition from IPv4 to IPv6 requires a high level compatibility and clear procedure for easy and independent deployment of IPv6. The transition between IPv4 internet and IPv6 will be a long process as they are two completely separate protocols. IPv6 is not backward compatible with IPv4, and IPv4 hosts and routers will not be able to deal directly with IPv6 traffic and vice-versa. In fact that there will be extreme difficulties with address allocation and routing if the internet is to continue to run indefinitely using IPv4. Also it is impossible to switch the entire internet over to IPv6 over night. As IPv4 and IPv6 will co-exist for a long time, this requires the transition and inter-operation mechanism. Due to this reason several transitions mechanisms have been developed that can be used to make the transition to IPv6 smoothly. Most applications today support IPv4 and thus there is a need to run these applications on IPv6 access network, especially to persons who are generally on mobile and they want to securely connect to their home network so as to reach IPv4 services. In this paper, a static model for proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) DG system model in power flow analysis is proposed. The overall effects of adding DG to the modified IEEE 14 bus test case are studied. Different DG placements are compared in terms of power loss, loadability and voltage stability index. Many common devices often require that the user is a member of a class of people who always have enough time to play with the device. In this paper, it is demonstrated how system analysis with agility opens doors for incorporating cognitive modalities of users into the traditional approaches. When any interaction with a device by the user is abstracted with a set of agile operations, it focuses the user's semantic knowledge about the device. Actual procedural activities for using the device require logical knowledge. Compounding the semantic and the logical knowledge, the user develops systemic knowledge. The main strength of the EDM process is that it can machine hard material parts with low forces that are extremely difficult to machine by conventional machining processes. The forces are very small because the tool and the work-piece do not have any contact during the machining process, which creates a significant amount of research interests in the field of EDM. This paper provides a review on the various research activities carried out and various developments in the field of die-sinking EDM. Researchers have explored a number of ways to improve the sparking efficiency of EDM including some unique experimental concepts that depart from the traditional EDM sparking phenomenon. The current research shares the same objective of achieving more efficient metal removal coupled with a reduction in tool- wear and improved surface quality.
