By means of normalization of conductivity, it was found that samples with different Ag contents show similar mechanism of dielectric loss, which is suggested as the relaxation process of electron in deep level traps. The relation of ac conductivity of samples and scaling frequency shows a deviation from the master curve at high frequencies, which is due to different distribution of local energy barriers and the dynamics of mobile carriers. The results can be fully understood by means of ldquoUniversal Power Law(UPL)rdquo.","PeriodicalId":158811,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Symposium on Electrical Insulating Materials (ISEIM 2008)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132640798","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The 1 mm sheet samples sandwiched by semi-conductive electrodes are submitted to 40 kVdc/mm at 40degC for various duration. The charge injecting rate and the mobility of packet-like space charge under DC stress are compared among the samples subjected to different blending process with or without nano-particles. The slight doping concentration shows significant influence on space charge dynamics, being lower injecting rate and apparent mobility for higher doped samples. The isothermal decay process of the injected charge indicates the trap-modulated feature. The phenomena are related to the changing morphology.","PeriodicalId":158811,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Symposium on Electrical Insulating Materials (ISEIM 2008)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132206161","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

When the epoxy block at one end of a long coaxial cable is charged by a dc prestress and then directly grounded by closing a switch at the other end of the cable without any resistance, repetitive voltage pulses are applied to the epoxy block with a change in its polarity. In test for polarity-reversed tree with -dc prestress, tree length tends to be shorter than that for an positive impulse tree without prestress. However, the shape of the polarity-reversed tree becomes more busy. In test for polarity reversed tree with +dc prestress, tree length at room temperature is very short for both the pulses with and without the prestress because of the poor propagation capability in negative streamer. However, polarity-reversed tree at 120degC is very large because the negative streamer propagation is followed by the successive positive streamer caused by the second polarity reversal.","PeriodicalId":158811,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Symposium on Electrical Insulating Materials (ISEIM 2008)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116893183","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It was found that when a high electric field above several kV/mm was applied to LDPE, a large amount of positive packet-like charge was appeared near the anode. The packet-like charge moved towards cathode and disappeared near the cathode. In this paper, a numerical simulation is proposed to discuss the packer-like charge behavior The model is based on the following assumptions, (1) the charge injected by electrode formed the space charge packet, specially exceed holes injected by anode in this paper; (2) the carrier migration rate and applied field exists a negative slope range in LDPE and it causes a space-charge packet. Furthermore, the computer simulation results are compared with the measurement results.","PeriodicalId":158811,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Symposium on Electrical Insulating Materials (ISEIM 2008)","volume":"92 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122632863","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The accelerating aging experiments of HTV silicone rubber were carried out with five levels of corona voltage. The hydrophobicity recovery with time was measured by static contact angle method. The experimental results show that the hydrophobicity of HTV silicone rubber can get some recovery after the corona deterioration, and the corona intensity play an important role on static contact angle of HTV SIR. In general, the procedure of hydrophibicity recovery would be varied with the different corona intensity and varied corona deterioration duration. And the hydrophibicity would not be recovered as original when the corona intensity is high enough under an certainty deterioration duration time.","PeriodicalId":158811,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Symposium on Electrical Insulating Materials (ISEIM 2008)","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124860419","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
