The selection of a suitable adaptive control algorithm for such CPD is also a tough job for the researchers due to the complexity of the power system. In this paper, the Sparse Least Mean Square (SLMS)control algorithm is implemented in a three-phase Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC) based Shunt Active Power Filter (SAPF) to mitigate the power quality problems. Particularly, harmonic mitigation of source current, voltage regulation and power factor of the system are attained successfully. The performance of this suggested SLMS algorithm affords a balanced and almost harmonic-free supply current even under fault conditions. The reference source currents are generated followed by extracting the weighted values of fundamental active and reactive components of harmonic rich load current. The intention is to maintain the DC-link voltage of the SAPF by generating appropriate switching signals. The simulation has been performed in the MATLAB environment.","PeriodicalId":151809,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE Uttar Pradesh Section International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Electronics Engineering (UPCON)","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134433668","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The interface between the SPV array and the grid is realized by a voltage source inverter (VSI). The VSI is implemented for SPV power extraction at high power quality and to feed it into the grid and load connected to it. The IC (Incremental Conductance) based MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) algorithm provides the peak power extraction from a SPV array at various environmental conditions. The GF-EPLL based control algorithm is implemented for harmonics elimination and load compensation for power quality enhancement. The phase compensation is introduced in the GF-EPLL algorithm to enhance the transient response of the system. To demonstrate the performance of proposed single stage SPV system, extensive tests are carried out on a prototype of it in the laboratory.","PeriodicalId":151809,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE Uttar Pradesh Section International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Electronics Engineering (UPCON)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132692905","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Various medical imaging modalities like X-ray, CT, chest radiography, SPECT, NM, MRI, CT, US, PET and optical modalities like Endoscopy, Microscopy or Photography exists to identify the presence of disease. Automated Computer Aided Diagnosing (CAD) system is more useful tool for advanced decision making in radiology. CAD system performs diagnosis and detection of malignancy from suspect regions in medical image. Aggregation of cells (Nodules) is unusual appearances that are numerous, clustered, irregularly shaped and sized and branching in orientation. Detection sensitivity of cancer depends on identification of malignant nodules. Major challenge lies in the lesion ROI segmentation during the clinical evaluations. For clinical work flow medical images are stored in PACS. In this paper the nodules are extracted from the DICOM lung image in the noise environment such as Gaussian, salt and pepper, Poisson and speckle using different edge detection operators such as Gaussian, Average, Laplacian and Sobel. To increase the reliability, contour detection is followed by morphological analysis with various sizes of the Disk and Diamond structuring element and watershed algorithm. These results enable to analyze the accuracy of nodule extraction from DICOM images and the impact of the noise during Diagnosis.","PeriodicalId":151809,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE Uttar Pradesh Section International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Electronics Engineering (UPCON)","volume":"325 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132902213","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The coupling between the input and output ports of the filter occurs due to alumina ceramic acting as DR and same DR is utilized as an antenna. The proposed filtering dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) provides good impedance matching. The simulated −10 dB reflection coefficient bandwidth of the proposed filtering DRA is found to be 930 MHz (11.34 – 12.27 GHz) with centre frequency of 11.88 GHz. The simulated realized gain of the proposed filtering DRA varies from 4.8 dB to 5.4 dB over its operating frequency band. We take precautions or insure us against risk for these scenarios. The cost of treatment of chronic disease like diabetes increases with disease progression. If patients have right awareness of economic burden of the disease they were more likely to adhere to treatment goals. This will result in lesser number of diabetic patients with multiple complication and hence lesser economic burden of the disease. This study asks patients to rate the similarity between nine selected chronic diseases. The diabetes was found less costly disease on perception than HIV, Arthritis and Cancer. The thirty patients from a private clinic were selected for the study. The statistical method used in the study is Multi Dimensional Scaling (MDS). This reflects that people are aware of the cost associated with treatment of diabetes but they still don't consider it among most costly disease. The better awareness for disease will enable patients taking prevention and treatment at pre-diabetic stage only.","PeriodicalId":151809,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE Uttar Pradesh Section International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Electronics Engineering (UPCON)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133039531","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
