It has affected more than a third of the world’s population. National Deworming Day (NDD) will be conducted yearly on February 10, followed by a mop-up day on February 15 in the country.According to WHO, across the world, about 24% of the population is infected with soil-transmitted helminthic infections.We used a validated questionnaire, and it included questions to evaluate the participant’sknowledge, attitude, and practice of deworming and anemia. Data was collected by giving 20 minutes to students to answer the questions. After that, a 30-minute lecture was given on anaemia and deworming using PPT. Students were again told to fill in the questionnaire immediately after the lecture. Pre-test and post-test scores were compared, and a chi-square test was used to test the association of knowledge, attitude, and practice. It was observed that knowledge, attitude, and practice among medical students increasedsignificantly after educational intervention.From the above study, we conclude that there is a significant impact on knowledge, attitude, andpractice. As a result, medical student training and healthcare professionals can effectively prevent worm infestation and thus anaemia in the population, which is a major burden in a developing country like India.","PeriodicalId":13889,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Analysis","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84320437","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The method was carried out on Hypersil ODS C 5µ column (250 x 4.6 mm) with a mobile phase consisting of Acetonitrile: 0.025 M Dibasic phosphate buffer pH 3.0 with phosphoric acid (70: 30 v/v) and flow rate of 1 mL/min. Detection was carried out at 245 nm. The retention time for Cilnidipine and Bisoprolol fumarate was found to be 3.04 min and 15.114 min, respectively. The Cilnidipine and Bisoprolol fumarate followed linearity in the concentration range of 5 - 25 µg/mL (r= 0.998) and 2.5 - 12.5 µg/mL (r= 0.9993). The developed method was validated for linearity and range, accuracy, precision, and assay. Cilnidipine and Bisoprolol fumarate was subjected to acid and alkali hydrolysis, oxidation and thermal degradation. This indicates that the drug is susceptible to acid, base, oxidation and thermal conditions. The degraded product was well resolved from the pure drug with significantly different Retention time. The proposed method can be used for routine analysis of Cilnidipine and Bisoprolol fumarate in synthetic mixture.","PeriodicalId":13889,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Analysis","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89167719","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Mannich reaction is essential in the synthesis of nitrogen-containing compounds. The Mannich reaction, a nucleophilic addition reaction that forms carbon-carbon bonds, is employed in the synthesis of numerous natural products, drugs and other compounds. There are several aminoalkyl chain bearing Mannich bases with high curative value, such as fluoxetine, atropine, ethacrynic acid, trihexyphenidyl, and many others. According to the literature, Mannich bases are highly reactive and have been demonstrated to have powerful anti-inflammatory, anticancer, antifilarial, antibacterial, antifungal, anticonvulsant, anthelmintic, antitubercular, analgesic, anti-HIV, antimalarial, antipsychotic, antiviral, antilipase activity and other properties. The primary source of, -α,β-unsaturated ketone, which can be produced by deaminating the hydrogen atom of the amine group, is responsible for the biological action of Mannich bases. However, a number of minor biological functions of Mannich bases have been reported, including their ability to control blood pressure or prevent platelet aggregation, their impact on parasites and ulcers, and their use as medications for mental health issues. Since there is a greater need for anticonvulsant pharmaceuticals, these anticonvulsant medications containing N-mannich base groups will exhibit an increase in lipophilic nature and hence have improved blood-brain barrier penetration. The overview concludes with a brief explanation of the potential of Mannich bases as inhibitors of various enzymes or ligands for various receptors.","PeriodicalId":13889,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Analysis","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81202370","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The LMWH was a sulfated polysaccharide obtained from animal sources and some in natural especially from marine sources. The actual anticoagulant has the molecular weight about 25000 Daltons which have bleeding as side effect in the cardiovascular diseases. The LMWH are prepared by enzymatic or chemical hydrolysis the length of the heparin chain is reduced and also in same manner the molecular weight also reduced below 10000 Daltons. So, it has main advantage to reduce the bleeding in the cardiovascular diseases. The LMWH eliminated through the renal and it was not given to the patients with renal dysfunction. The LMWH of some product are still in clinical trials in order to reduce its side effects. The commercial LMWH preparation has concentrated in animal sources by killing them and lungs, intestine etc are used to prepare heparin. Here the alternate sources are discussed in order from killing the animal. This review summarizes the importance, difference between commercial heparin and LMWH, mechanism, preparation, LMWH products, clinical trials and LMWH from marine sources, Enzymatic degradation in shrimp species, Preparation of LMW heparin by chemically modified Fractions, Chromatography separation of LMW Heparin are discussed in this review.","PeriodicalId":13889,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Analysis","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85976383","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It has been reported that sunscreens have beneficial effects in reducing the incidence of skin disorders and protect the skin against exogenous and endogenous harmful agents by absorption, scattering and by blocking phenomena. Ultraviolet (UV) rays are divided into three wavelength categories: UV-A, UV-B and UV-C. Skin exposure to sunlight and other climatic conditions induces the formation of reactive oxygen species (ROS), which can react with DNA, proteins, and fatty acids in the skin, resulting in oxidative damage and damage of the antioxidant system in the human body. Such injuries disrupt the skin’s regulation pathways, resulting in photoaging and the development of skin cancer. Active ingredients in sunscreen agents are synthetic substances which are classified into organic and inorganic filters. Synthetic agents have a number of serious side effects. As a result, to overcome this deleterious effects natural sunscreens were found by the researchers from nature. Natural products can be used as sunscreens and have healing, softening, rejuvenating, and sun protection properties. However, the use of sunscreen has a number of drawbacks, including inducing photoallergic dermatitis, environment pollution, and deficiency of vitamin D production. Therefore, consumers should use appropriate herbal formulations to improve sun protection as well as to avoid the side effects of synthetic sunscreens.","PeriodicalId":13889,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Analysis","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89147087","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In humans, corona viruses are causing the common cold and, recently, severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS). This presents a major threat to public health. The novel coronavirus has spread rapidly to multiple countries and has been declared a pandemic by the WHO. COVID‐19 is usually caused by a virus to which most probably the people with low immunity response are being affected. Herbal plants increase the intestinal beneficial bacteria which are helpful and make up the immune system. In addition to the well-known personal hygiene and preventive measures against the new coronavirus (COVID-19), we can also follow some simple recommendations regarding our nutrition that strengthen our immune system and could better prepare us for an epidemic. The virus rapidly spreads too many people within a short period of time. Good nutrition is crucial for health, particularly in times when the immune system might need to fight back. It can also potentially lead to an increased consumption of highly processed foods, which tend to be high in fats, sugars and salt. Nonetheless, even with few and limited ingredients, one can continue eating a diet that supports good health. Various studies investigated that a powerful antioxidant glutathione and a bioflavonoid Quercetin may prevent various infections including COVID‐19. In conclusion, the Nutrition and Herbal plants play a vital role to enhance the immunity of people to control of COVID‐19.","PeriodicalId":13889,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Analysis","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75779401","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
