That surge mode occurs at mass flows below the so-called surge line, and the chock mode occurs at low pressure and high flow rate. These instability operation modes will reduce the compressor performance or even will be made damage to the compressor system [1-3]. There are many studies to prevent instability phenomenon by establishing control system to the ability to do that, but sometimes surge or chock phenomenon occurs although of this big effort. So, for this reason, the paper focus on the protection system, introduced to detect and prevent surge and shock stall occurrence to reduce damages possibility and keep the production at minimum losses. This can be achieved by setting the mass flow rate, pressure ratio, and operating speed in a predefined area. Depending on the data sets including measurements from compression systems of Sirt Oil Company, Libya, and performance characteristics curves and polynomial regression technique to define the operation area. The developed surge protection system was implemented on the Matlab Simulink program and presented in a simple form.","PeriodicalId":138877,"journal":{"name":"Electronic Design Engineering","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-05-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125599373","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

OFDM with cognitive radio offer satisfactory solutions for all these heads. The cognitive radio system senses the surrounding environment possesses an electromagnetic spectrum. CR can adapt the radio parameter dynamically and autonomously. It improves the performance of the wireless communication system by endowing the opportunity to unlicensed secondary users temporarily. This arrangement maximizes network throughput with an interoperability facility. This paper presents a hardware implementation of a Green Cognitive Radio Communication (GCR) using an FPGA board. It defines the complete process of software and hardware implementation for the practical execution of this novel approach.","PeriodicalId":138877,"journal":{"name":"Electronic Design Engineering","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122453918","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Two media are assumed to be lossless. Phase velocities of the waves through the two media and the interface are calculated. These velocities are found to be different from the actual phase velocities in the dielectrics. The phase velocity in one dielectric is modified by the presence of another dielectric medium. The phase velocities in the two media are greater than the phase velocity of the wave along with the interface. Also, the phase velocities in the media in contact are greater than the velocities of the wave in the two media when they are separated. The wave is found to bend away from the interface in both the media. Very low loss dielectric media are practically lossless at very low frequencies. These dielectric media may be useful for Wireless Power Transmission (WPT) system. The bending property of the electromagnetic wave away from the interface and the low loss will help one to locate the receivers away from the transmitter in the WPT system. The use of very low loss dielectric media and Very Low Frequency (VLF) transmitter are suggested for efficient WPT systems.","PeriodicalId":138877,"journal":{"name":"Electronic Design Engineering","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114216064","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We come across a large number of accidents in our day to day life because of alcoholic intoxication and driver drowsiness. With the help of an embedded system using Microcontrollers, we can reduce the number of accidents. For this, in this paper, a model is proposed using Raspberry-Pi, Arduino U.N.O, Web Camera, Open CV, and Numpy Libraries to control this issue. In this model, an open-source Web camera connected with Raspberry Pi having a Raspbian Operating System installed with a facility of python IDLE, Open CV, and Numpy installed in it. The Raspberry Pi microcontroller serially interfaced with Arduino U.N.O. The Raspberry Pi coding is in python and it deals with vision sensing during driver drowsiness and Arduino is taking care of sensing the breath of the driver and issuing a command to the relay to alarm the buzzer and turning off the ignition to stop the car.","PeriodicalId":138877,"journal":{"name":"Electronic Design Engineering","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-08-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128226792","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
