With the rising of IoT and microcontroller based devices which come with limited computational capabilities, choosing a simple but efficient and effective image analysis method is one of the prominent key factors in the implementation. This paper provides an alternative of simple texture analysis descriptor using binary-adjacent statistical approach. The descriptor intended to approximate coarseness or spatial distribution in the binary image using the scale-invariant feature. By scaling, it gives benefits in analyzing samples with different dimension or aspect as long as it comes from a similar region ratio. The aim is to reduce analysis complexity and memory requirement while maintaining its usability and portability. In this paper we propose to measuring maximum distance and response time of ESP8266 modules in smart home system which include online and real time controls of: door lock, lighting dimmer, automatic switches equipped with energy sensors, infrared furniture and camera systems. The system modules are based on an ESP8266 Wi-Fi microcontroller. The modules are connected to a central server via Wi-Fi media by using data communication based on JSON on HTTP protocol, using an IP camera. Programs in modules are designed to be as simple as possible to save resources and to achieve the shortest possible response time. Modules on this smart home system have been tested and have proved to operate intelligent-home systems in providing controls of: electricity, automatic door lock, electricity consumption statistics, infrared-based furniture, and cameras to monitor a room directly. Most of Indonesia’s population depend on agriculture because the land to produce food crops is quite fertile and productive. However, as the population grows, the use of converted agricultural land creates difficulties for its own expansion. Aside from inadequate agricultural land conditions, poor agricultural yields caused by prolonged seasons and bad weather are some of the problems faced in Indonesia, especially in Java. The focus of this study is to apply Learning Vector Quantization (LVQ), which is part of the artificial neural network method, to provide recommendations from three types of plants that are most suitable for planting based on land or regional conditions. The recommendations generated by using the Learning Vector Quantization (LVQ) method show several significant differences when compared to real conditions, that is equal to 64.51% compared to 35.49%. While the comparison of LVQ method recommendations compared with expert recommendations shows a percentage of 93.54% compared to 6.46%. News document used in this research refers to the previous research done by Rahim in 2018. The research uses three popular news website of Indonesia in 2018 which are tribunnews.com, detik.com and liputan6.com. However, in this research, the news website also uses as an object of analysis. The result conducted that the process to find a news time frame should define the cosine similarity minimum (threshold) between news and keyword (query). In fact, some IT projects that are technically feasible but did not use it is an example of a failed project. Defining and measuring project outcomes effectively also provide a great opportunity to achieve IT project success. Therefore, it needs framework for measuring the success of the overall project (outputs and outcomes). The development of the framework began by identifying the definition of IT project success. Analyzing the dimensions of success through literature review. The next step is formulating the measurement framework and validating the proposed framework. The result found four dimensions to measure the success of IT projects, namely project technical, stakeholder acceptance, product quality, and organizational benefits. Product technical dimensions, including scope, time, and cost. Stakeholder acceptance dimensions are perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Product quality including system, information, and service quality. The organizational benefit dimension is seen from 4 perspectives, namely: financial, customer, internal business, and learning and growth. There are 4 levels of success depending on the fulfilment of the measure of each dimension. Based on model validation, all of framework elements can be mapped to the success definition of an IT project. Public transportations with fixed route often used by the people of Surabaya are share taxis (Angkutan Kota), city buses, bus rapid transit system (Suroboyo Bus), and commuter trains. There are many transportation modes in Surabaya, but there is no integrated information system of it. We propose a system designed to help passengers feel ease to access and choose any public transportation in Surabaya. The proposed system offers information to help passengers know the easier travel route, monitoring vehicle position, ticket price, and visualization on the map. A positioning device is installed on every public transportation, where it will send the vehicle’s position to the server. The integrated information system is based on Android. It can help passengers who want to travel to find the best route, cheap ticket price, and arrival time while using public transportation in Surabaya. UC3 (University Customer Care Center) is a complaint service system of academicians in the environment of University of Jember. The used audit framework in this research is COBIT 5 domain DSS (Deliver, Service and Support). DSS Domain consists of 6 process controls focusing on IT service process and its technical supports including system security, service sustainability, training and ongoing data management. Results of capability level audit is in level 1 for DSS01, DSS02 and DSS03 as well as level 0 for DSS03, DSS04 and DSS05, this indicates that UC3 is still limited to its implementation in order to achieve its business goals, without any management on planning, supervision and adjustment. Then, it leads to recommendation based on gap results of existing level and target level as well as from guidance of base practice PAM. In general, educational process begins with student admission process, teaching and learning process, and assessement of the learning outcomes. These sequential processes can be represented as a data or called as the Educational Data (ED). However, in real life, the Educational Data has unbalanced characteristics. To overcome the imbalanced issue, some balancing methods are applied. The balancing process basically divided into three methods: undersampling, oversampling and hybrid of oversampling and undersampling. In this paper, we focus on balancing the Educational Data using the undersampling approach Neighborhood Cleaning Rule (NCL) to obtain the Precision Student Modeling. Data that has been undersampled using NCL is then classified pusing the Decision Tree C4.5 algorithm. While, the performance evaluation is processed pusing the accuracy calculations. The test result using NCL shows an accuracy value of 91.37%. The value of accuracy from the research is represented of the student who fail and succeed academically, so that appropriate treatment can be given.
