In a synchronized manner and constant release of formulations over extended periods. The general characteristic features that makes the polymer a potential candidate for drug delivery include, safety, efficacy, hydrophillicity, absence immunogenicity biological inactivity, sufficient pharmacokinetics, and presence of functional groups for covalent conjugation of drugs, targeting moieties or formation of copolymer. Polymers are the backbone of a pharmaceutical drug delivery system as they control the release of the drug from the device. The drug is release from polymer by diffusion, degradation and swelling. In addition to this review presents characteristics and behaviors of plant derived and mucoadhesive polymers which are currently used in drug delivery. © 2019 iGlobal Research and Publishing Foundation. Antibiotic is administered after surgery to kill potential infectious agents, while it is been prescribe after the manifestation of clinical sign and symptoms as well as laboratory diagnosis. Antibiotic is administered to inactivate bacteria responsible for food poisoning, wounds sepsis, respiratory tract infection, sexually transmitted infection, gastrointestinal tract infection, urinary tract infection etc. However, under certain condition bacteria developed a mechanism(s) that inactivate the bacteriostatic or bactericidal effects of the antibiotic and hence antibiotic resistance occurred. Consequently, prolong hospitalization and treatment, increase medical bill and mortality become widespread. Health care awareness, personal hygiene, agricultural products, food and industrial practices, the proliferation of substandard drugs, self-medication are some of the causes of antibiotic resistance in developing countries. © 2019 iGlobal Research and Publishing Foundation. It is characterized by the impairment in memory and cognitive dysfunctioning. The neuropathological hallmarks of AD are decreased acetylcholine (Ach) levels in brain, increased reactive oxygen species (ROS) and deposition of amyloid beta. The exact pathogenesis of AD is still not clear. In AD there is hyperactivity of acetylcholinesterase (AchE) and monoamine oxidase –B (MAO-B), which leads to decreased Ach and increased ROS levels respectively. So, AchE and MAO-B are the potential therapeutic targets for the treatment of AD. Simultaneous inhibition of these target enzymes with a single molecule can be a beneficial therapeutic strategy. A total of 9 multi-targeted compounds are designed and synthesized using hybrid molecular approach and two pharmacophores are incorporated on the pyrimidine nucleus. The in-silico studies of these compounds revealed that the compound DEV-28possess potent AchE and MAO-B inhibitory properties. © 2019 iGlobal Research and Publishing Foundation. All rights reserved. Biologically synthesized nanoparticles have been used widely in the various fields. Morinda fruit and leaves extract was used to reduce silver nitrate to synthesized silver nanoparticles. The peak showed at 425nm for fruits and 425 to 450nm for leaves sample by Uv-vis spectrophotometer and FESEM analysis reveales the spherical shaped nanoparticles with size ranging between 25-60 nm and 40-60nm respectively. These synthesized nanoparticles showed inhibitory activity against Alternaria lini a linseed blight pathogen. The 3% carbendazim showed inhibition of growth of fungi A.lini, Whereas Carbendazim combined with silver nanoparticles significantly inhibit the growth of A.lini. This will help to reduce the percentage of carbendazim and also help to minimize the fungicide residues. Thus these nanoparticles synthesized from M. citrifolia fruits and leaves might be used in agricultural industries for the development of efficient fungicide. This will helps to reduce the amount of fungicide and residual biomagnifications in food chain. © 2019 iGlobal Research and Publishing Foundation. All rights reserved. The extract was cooled and filtered using whatman no. 1 filter paper and used for the further reaction. Silver nanoparticles synthesis For the synthesis of silver nanoparticles M. citrifolia fruit and leaves extract was reacted with silver nitrate solution. 10 ml extract added to the 90 ml silver nitrate solution. This reaction mixture containing conical flask was kept in dark condition at room temperature. The bioreduction of silver ions by fruit and leaves extract was scrutinized by measuring the Uv-vis spectra of the reaction medium at 200-800nm. Complete bioreduced sample was centrifuged at 10000 rpm for 15 minutes, redispersed the pellet in double distilled water and again centrifuged. Soil samples were collected in polythene bags of size 6 x 4 inches. ABSTRACT: Nostoc muscorum was isolated from the collected soil samples from different locations. Identification was carried out using morphological variation and taxonomical approaches according to Desikachary (1959). The axenic culture of Nostoc muscorum was obtained in the laboratory. For the biomass production, different culture media were used namely BG-11, Fogg’s medium, Allen and Arnon medium, Zarrouk’s medium and CFTRI medium. The biomass was harvested by filtration through double layered muslin cloth and dried using air blower. After harvesting, the biomass obtained was subjected to the growth analysis. The total carbohydrates were estimated by following Anthrone method (Hedge and Hofreiter, 1962). Out of the different culture media used, BG-11 medium supported the growth of Nostoc muscorum properly as compared to other media used.
