Topical gel formulation was designed by using Aloe Vera in varied concentration. The gel was prepared by using cyclosporine as drug with other excipients such as carbopol 940, methanol, propylene glycol, methyl paraben, propyl paraben, tri-ethanolamine and required amount of water. The prepared gel was evaluated for physical appearance, PH, spread ability, drug content, swelling index, diffusion study, viscosity, homogenicity, extrudability, and grittiness. It was inferred from that gel formulation were good in appearance and homogenicity. The prepared herbal gel is very useful for the anti proliferative and anti-inflammatory action for the treatment of psoriasis. © 2019 iGlobal Research and Publishing Foundation. All rights reserved. The disease is highly contagious and mostly transmitted from person to person, usually by bacteria and it is mostly transmitted by inhaling bacteria-carrying air droplets. Tuberculosis most generally attacks the lungs, but it can also infect other organs. It has resulted in progressive increase in number of orphans due to parental deaths which is estimated to be 10 million out of which 6%-15% is maternal mortality, which counts up to 15%-34% if only indirect causes are taken into account. Tuberculosis screening is done using an intelligible clinical technique that checks for the absence of current cough, sputum production, fever, weight loss, and night sweats. The concern of discovering new, imperatively needed anti-TB drugs from natural sources and their derivatives necessitates a multidisciplinary research. The use of allopathic drugs in such a convoluted disease gives rise to more dangerous complexities like cross resistance whereas natural drugs have proven to be better in this scenario. The investigation of new remedies for the successful weakening of the unhealthy condition associated with tuberculosis is the crucial requirement. It uses substances made by the body or in laboratory to improve or restore immune system function. Earlier cancer treatment consisted of surgery, radiation, chemotherapy and horrmonal treatments. In recent years, immunotherapy has become an important therapeutic alternative, and is now the first choice in many cases. One of the greatest achievements with monoclonal antibodies is their use in human therapy. Surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy are not specifically directed to tumor cells and may also affect healthy tissue. Antibodies can provide specificity and lower toxicity, opening new therapeutic possibilities. The objective is for the antibody to act as a transporter for the cancer-killing agent, concentrating the agent directly in the cancer cell, with minimal damage to healthy cells. Although conjugated antibodies showed toxicity in the past, more recent approaches under development appear to decrease unwanted side effects. Drugs known as immune checkpoint inhibitors can physically block the checkpoint CTLA-4, a protein receptor which frees the immune system to attack the cancerous cells. A single T-cell can kill thousands of cancer cells. © 2019 iGlobal Research and Publishing Foundation. All rights reserved. Cite this article as: Kaur, H.; Sodhi, R.K.; babu, A. The prevalence rate of PD is 0.5-1% among people aged 65-69 years and 1-3% among those aged 80 and above. Bioactive derivatives of plants such as flavonoids, stilbenoids and alkaloids possess potent anti-oxidative and anti-inflammatory properties that are of considerable interest for the treatment of PD. The chemical constituents derived from herbs, fruits, vegetables, and spices against PD relies on the presence of flavonoids, steroidal lactones, ginsenosides, alkaloids, caffeine, stilbenoids, ginkgolides, bilobalides , xanthones, saponins, oligosaccharide esters, glycosides isoflavonoids, polymethoxyflavones, catechins, anthocyanins, SAllylcysteine, lycopene, thymoquinone, sesaminoids, curcuminoids, zingerone, eugenol, and chrysotoxine. enoids, catechols and glycosides. Flavonoids, the major polyphenol group, consist of aromatic rings possessing a phenolic hydroxyl group Its based on their alkylation, glycation, and hydroxylation patterns, flavonoids are classified into flavones, flavanones, flavanonols, flavanols, anthocyanidins, and isoflavones. Transdermal Systems are a noninvasive alternative to drug delivery through injection or by mouth. TDD systems exist as passive or active systems. The passive system uses a simple concentration gradient to diffuse the blood through the skin to the bloodstream. The Transdermal patches on the market (such as the nicotine patch), are passive systems. The molecules administered through these patches are small. The Stratum-Corneum (outermost layer of skin) has low permeability to larger molecules. The active systems employ a physical mechanism to force the larger molecules across the skin. One such mechanism is the ultrasound. Lowfrequency (20 kHz) ultrasound can increase the permeability of human skin to high-molecular-weight -drugs. Ultrasound causes cavitation, or growth and oscillation of the air pockets in the skin's keratin fibers. The stratum corneum (outer skin layer) consists of cells called Keratinocites surrounded by lipid bilayers. Low frequency ultrasound generates microbubbles in the tissue. Researchers suggest the bubbles disrupt the lipid bilayer and allow water channels to be produced within the bilayer. The disorder in the stratum corneum facilitates the crossing of a larger molecule. This process is of particular significance to the delivery of insulin to diabetics. Insulin protein is too large to permeate the skin without use of the active transdermal system. A team of researchers completed an Insulin patch prototype in October of last year. This device provides needle free delivery of insulin via a wearable patch. It has been tested to safely administer effective dosages of insulin in rats. Down the road researchers hope to devise a patch delivery system that will detect glucose and administer insulin. The traditional medicine all over the world is nowadays revalued by an extensive research activity on different plant species and their therapeutic applications. Since they have a relatively higher therapeutic index, lesser side effects and are economical, herbal drugs have gained a lot of acceptance and popularity in the recent years. AD is characterized by cognitive and behavioral problems. It is the most common cause of dementia among people aged 65yrs and older. It is the third leading cause of death in developed countries (Ewbank, 1991). Alzheimer disease accounts for 60-70% cases of progressive cognitive impairment in an elderly patients. The total prevalence of AD in the United States is estimated at 2.3 million (range, 1.09 4.8 million) (Brookmeyer et al, 1998). The prevalence of AD doubles every 5 years after the age of 60yrs, increasing from a prevalence of 1% among those 60-64 years-old to up to 40% of those aged 85 years and older (Von Strauss et al, 1999). While familial AD (FAD) is a rare form of AD, affecting less than 10 percent of AD patients, sporadic AD comprises the remaining 85-90 %. DM is a group of metabolic disorder characterized by a complete lack of insulin, a relative lack of insulin, or insulin resistance. The prevalence of diabetes is rapidly rising all over the globe at an alarming rate and as per international diabetes federation (IDF); diabetes is expected to become the seventh largest cause of death worldwide by 2030. Treatment of diabetes need constant monitoring of blood glucose level, regulating it through modified dietary sugar intake and insulin therapy. Current dosage of injectable insulin comprises of up to twothree subcutaneous injections per day which can cause psychological stress leading to poor patient compliance. At present several researchers have been focusing on new management options for diabetes. Among these options the use of metallic nanoparticles is becoming an eye catching and most promising due to their non-invasiveness and site specificity. Metallic nanoparticles hold substantial potential for improving the care of patients with diabetes as it allows oral delivery of insulin to the specific site thus increasing its bioavailability and pharmacological efficacies. The current presentation focuses on oral delivery of insulin using metallic nanoparticles. © 2019 iGlobal Research and Publishing Foundation. All rights reserved.
