This kind of filter uses MMIC active circuit loss compensation of planar microstrip resonators. We use the noise wave formalism to calculate the analytical expression of the noise factors. In both these cases should be known plasma wavelength, its dependence from the amplitude of the signal exciting the SCW. Calculation of this characteristic of SCW on the basis of different models, especially in nonlinear regime, is not exact. That is why physical experiment is important, which lets to define plasma wavelength in linear and nonlinear regimes. As a rule, it is polynomial filters with direct coupled cavity or more seldom with quarter-wave coupled ones. In such filters all zeros are located in a passband, and the poles are on a zero frequency and in infinity. The greater selectivity can be achieved if the frequencies of these poles are given the finite values. Frequently in practice, the monotonous increasing of attenuation in stop-band is not required, and the distribution of poles by Butterworth or Chebyshev is not effective, and filters have superfluous electrical and constructive characteristics. The characteristic feature of attenuators is very small phase shift at smooth regulation of the transfer factor. It is shown, that use of the correction circuits leads to essential reduction of the phase shift. The addition of Ge in the base makes thin base widths with very high base doping possible.
