Adhering to design codes, one crucial requirement is to verify the minimum reinforcement area to ensure the ductile failure of RC members and mitigate crack formation resulting from shrinkage. Within this study, the authors explore the minimum reinforcement of beams with both hybrid bars and hybrid fibers through the utilization of numerical simulations. To analyze the flexural behavior of low reinforcement ratio members, fifteen RC beams are modeled and subjected to four-point loading configurations. The parameters under scrutiny encompass the hybrid reinforcement ratios ranging from 0.0% to 0.50%, as well as the beam depth. The outcomes of the numerical analysis, obtained through the Nonlinear Finite Element Analysis (NLFEA) method, are presented in light of maximum deflection, and cracking and peak capacity. Two distinct approaches are employed to explore the minimum reinforcement ratios: (a) the cracking moment approach and (b) the Ductility Index (DI) approach. Comparative evaluations between these approaches demonstrate that the incorporation of hybrid fibers allows for a reduction in the minimum reinforcement ratio. Specifically, when implementing the DI approach, the minimum reinforcement ratio decreases to 0.081% instead of 0.18% for RC beams. Serag, Wael Yousef","doi":"10.21608/auej.2023.310373","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.21608/auej.2023.310373","url":null,"abstract":": Given the numerous studies, literature, theses and discussions that debated the definition of the quality of life (QoL), however, one can argue that this multidimensional concept, the QoL, is generally related to many aspects, including improved living conditions, subjective well-being, positive emotions, and life satisfaction. To evaluate the extent to which these aspects are fulfilled, and to which the individual’s needs, which are associated with better quality, are met, many models have been proposed as indicators for the individual's right to the QoL, in relation to the capabilities provided by countries to individuals. While these models are primarily relative to the multiple concepts of QoL, and as most of the indicators focused on the most important objective aspects of QoL, including the economic, social and environmental aspects, it has been concluded that there is a need for a reference ecosystem ensuring the comprehensiveness of all appropriate means of QoL in the different urban and developmental communities, to capture the grounds required to achieve the QoL for these new urban communities. In this analytical study, we have concluded that the efficiency of QoL in the new urban communities can be measured, analyzed and evaluated by four aspects. These aspects are general indexes for population; environmental planning and design, environmental operation of urban communities, and technical support for the available environmental resources, which have been integrated into one application that enables those in charge of developing new urban communities to assess the efficiency and measure the QoL, by analyzing the statistical data generated from this application. In applying the methodology for measuring, analyzing and evaluating the QoL in the new residential areas of KSA, the housing index scored 205/160, at 78%, as it achieved more than half the QoL requirements. The Environmental Planning and Design Index scored 530/280, at 53%, as it achieved more than half the QoL requirements. The Environmental Operation of Urban Communities scored 45/95, at 47%, as it achieved more than half the QoL requirements. The saying that we lack the soul of our civilization with the absence of our architecture is widely accepted by academics despite the contests throughout the history of the value of architecture. Architecture like most interdisciplinary fields constantly struggles to balance between the expertise it learns from various areas that can apply in the construction process and the idea of producing anything new for the benefit of the entire community. The idea of architecture design focuses on the constituents of a construction. The goal of architectural style is to physically record human footsteps on the planet. A location's architecture reveals the local way of life, therefore, is made in a way that tells tales of those individuals from a time in the distant past. Beautiful spots have two things that make them so. The first is the natural scenic appeal of a location, and the second is a man-made design that enhances the organic stunning scenery demonstrating the value of architecture to society and the global community. The significance of architecture is discussed in this article. The journal starts with an introductory section, an insight into materials and methods applied to get this journal researched, written, and published, results, discussions, and conclusion section then a reference section. In order to deal with this issue, some governments adopted a strategic framework that allowed them to introduce Superblocks in the built environment of their neighborhoods. The Superblocks concept solves many issues across the world, as it transforms public spaces from single-purpose to dynamic places with various uses without tearing down buildings or undergoing extensive redevelopment, creating an interconnected pedestrian-centric neighborhood. Index properties soil testes were carried out in soil laboratory at Al-Azhar University to determine the (liquid limit-plastic limit-specific gravity) this soil was divided into five samples with different water content between liquid and plastic limit ,so that the water content of the samples (22%- 31%-39%-47%-55%).Then three cases of the odometer test were done (single drainage-double drainage-triple drainage),and each case was performed five times on five sample . From the results of the tests, relationships were drawn between the consolidation coefficients and different stresses at different drainage. Delays are the costliest part, and finishing a project on schedule benefits all project partners. Healthcare facilities developments in Egypt, like all other construction projects, are usually delayed. Buildings for healthcare facilities are regarded as one of Egypt's most important construction projects. Therefore, it’s essential to study and analyze factors causing delays in these buildings’ construction. This study retrieved from the literature a list of delay factors in developing countries, especially Egypt. From 2000 to 2022, 127 relevant documents were discovered in Scopus and Web of Science databases and submitted to PRISMA protocol criteria. A list of factors was compiled from nine studies that met the effect summary analysis requirements. construction experts' feedback was obtained through interviews. This list was exposed to a questionnaire from experienced consulting engineers.Findings were compared to previous Egyptian researches. The language of communication between the deaf and dumb is sign language; a language that is not known by almost all those who do not suffer from the deficiency. Therefore, this research focuses on automating the translation of Arabic text into Arabic Sign Language (ArSL) in order to enable normal people to communicate with the deaf and dumb without being overburdened. This article discusses how deep Learning and Neural Machine Translation (NMT), particularly Encoder-Decoder Transformer Architecture Model, can aid this translation process. The proposed model has been trained on a manually generated dataset of 6500 pairs of Arabic sentences and their corresponding intermediate representation of Arabic sign sentences. The produced learning model was able to translate an input Arabic sentence into an intermediate format of Sign Language with an accuracy of 72%. After generating an intermediate sentence, a video is then generated for its corresponding Sign Language.
