Confronted to a big number of students, diverse challenges are raised up in order to reach the level that we normally have to attend. This approach had fixed the inventory of fixtures on the number of the students is concerned and yet identify the challenge on it. Method: A transversal descriptive approach has been applied. Different data had been collected in the honors lists and in the register-book. From 1992 to 2016, 33.690 students were enrolled. Besides, 18 teachers have participated to our research. Results: In nursing, a sensitive increasing of a peak of 400 students from 2007 has been observed. In 2008, 1167 students in G1, 769 students in G2 and 539 students in G3 have been enrolled as a peak. In midwife section, in spite of the reformation, the number of students in different degrees remains high with a peak of 110 students in G1 in2009; of 137 students in G2 in 2010 and of 130 students in G3 in 2011. In EASI, the graduate cycle has enrolled more students in 2003 (a peak of more than 200 students). In the path of laboratory, nutrition and Management health Institution, the number of students was increasing every year. In the degrees where the approach of competency is applied, the ratio between teacher and students was of 1/13 in nursing and 1/29 in midwife. In training, the ratio was of 1/33. Menstrual problem which frequently occurs includes menstrual pain or dysmenorrhea. Menstrual pain can be reduced pharmacologically and non-pharmacologically, one of which is using acupressure techniques. This study aims to identify whether the application of acupressure techniques has an effect on menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea). This research is a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest with a control group design. The participants involved 32 nursing students at Poltekkes Kemenkes Aceh who experienced dysmenorrhea, consisting of 10 students from year 1, 14 students from year 2 and 8 students from year 3. The class was divided into two: class X1 as an experimental class comprising 16 students and class X2 as a control class consisting of 16 female students. A total sampling technique was used to select the samples. Data were collected using SOP and NRS questionnaire and analyzed by means of the Wilcoxon signed rank test. The results found the p-value of 0.002, smaller than alpha 𝖺 (0.05). Thus, it can be concluded that there is an effect of acupressure on dysmenorrhoea in female students of Poltekkes Kemenkes Aceh.","PeriodicalId":131219,"journal":{"name":"EAS Journal of Nursing and Midwifery","volume":"81 5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126021766","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, it is also the most effective carrier of pathogens causing a number of infectious diseases. Water borne diseases are the most common prevalent infectious diseases in developing countries especially in rural areas, and is still a major public health and environmental concern. The living conditions in rural areas are poor, which makes rural populations more vulnerable to inaccessibility to safe drinking water and high risk of water borne diseases .Water safety in a community depends on a range of factors, from the quality of source water to storage and handling in the domestic setting. This is a descriptive cross sectional community based study conducted in East Nile locality in the capital state of Khartoum in Sudan among 384 households from April to June 2019, to assess water handling practices on a household level and the factors associated with the prevalence of water borne diseases. A questionnaire was used to collect data and the data was analysed by using Statistical Packages for Social Sciences (SPSS). The result revealed that artesian wells were the commonest source of drinking water used by 81% of participants. The majority of the respondents (80.2%) didn’t treat their water at household level and only 3% used boiling. 2.9% of the respondents washed their hands before collecting water, 3.4% of the respondents cleaned their water container regularly and 91.7% covered their water collection container. The prevalence of water borne diseases was 79% and diarrhoeal disease were the most prevalent water borne diseases among households in all the selected villages accounting for 52.1% of the total followed by typhoid fever at 38%. Regional General Hospitals in Aceh Province were used as the research site to enhance nurse competence by implementing a clinical career path pattern. The Objective of the study was to determine the application of the clinical nurse career path pattern from the perspective of a nurse manager at a regional general hospital in Aceh Province. A qualitative method and phenomenological approach involving 10 correspondence was used with characteristics as nurse managers with a minimum educational background of Diploma III in nursing, and had worked for four years in a hospital. Then, the data were analyzed using the Colaizzi method. This research resulted in 3 themes that became obstacles in applying career path, including reduced implementation of clinical nurse re-credential, the lack of management support and commitment, and limited resources for applying career path pattern. The application of the pattern of professional clinical nurse career paths has not run optimally. Therefore, the hospital and nursing management should support and be committed to planning career path pattern. This include planning the HR needs, compiling and ratifying guidelines, conducting explicit socialization and re-credentials. They should also provide rewards through career development in the form of education and training following the competency gap of nurses.","PeriodicalId":131219,"journal":{"name":"EAS Journal of Nursing and Midwifery","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131376086","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Deception of information from social media caused a psychological burden due to fear of contamination in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Method: This rapid review study was conducted to provide evidence on the psychological burden in the Middle East North Africa (MENA) regions and to prevent the psychological burden during any pandemic situation. Results: Opportunities for Mental health promotion are very minimal or still emerging in the MENA region. Also, there is a lack of concerted research evidence for mental health impacts during previous pandemics like severe acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), Ebola, and Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS). MENA region is evaded many opportunities to advance mental health promotion activities and its preventive measures during quarantine, creating the negative effects which are mentioned in the studies as anxiety, stress, fear, sleep disturbance, and depression. Conclusion: The psychological impact of COVID 19 has been significant among the MENA region population. Many countries in the MENA region have an opportunity to quickly strengthen and accord significantly to combat against the psychological impact during the pandemic.","PeriodicalId":131219,"journal":{"name":"EAS Journal of Nursing and Midwifery","volume":"7 1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129230014","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
