In the low intensity limit of both laser fields, the frequency profiles of the two peaks, which arise from the spontaneous and induced processes, respectively, cancel each other out completely at the centre of the line for zero detuning and at the finite values of the detuning as well. At those frequencies, the fluorescent light totally disappears. They obtain analytical results in the secular approximation and compare these with exact numerical results. Under cavity QED conditions (strong dipole coupling) the spectra show multiple resonances at the incommensurate transition frequencies of the Jaynes-Cummings Hamiltonian. Exact analytical formulae describing phase distributions based on different phase approaches are obtained and illustrated graphically. It is shown that the Pegg-Barnett phase distribution P( theta ) and the phase distribution Pw( theta ) associated with the Wigner function are very close to each other, while the phase distribution PQ( theta ) associated with the Q function carries less phase information. It is known that the resulting mean force is zero for a motionless mirror, but not for a mirror moving with a non-uniform acceleration. The authors show here that this force results from a motional modification of the field scattering while being associated with the fluctuations of the radiation pressure on a motionless mirror. They consider the case of a scalar field in a two-dimensional spacetime and characterize the scattering upon the mirror by frequency dependent transmissivity and reflectivity functions obeying unitarity, causality and high frequency transparency conditions. They derive causal expressions for dissipation and fluctuations and exhibit their relation for any stationary input. They recover the known damping force at the limit of a perfect mirror in vacuum. The displaced Fock states comprise the coherent states mod a) identical to mod a,0) as well as the Fock states mod n) identical to mod 0,n) as particular cases. An orthocompleteness relation for the displaced Fock states in the form of the area integral of the operators mod a,m)(a,n mod over the complex a-plane is derived. It generalizes for m=n the well known completeness relation for the coherent states and leads for m not=n to identities expressing the overcompleteness of the displaced Fock states. A basic formula is obtained for the convolution of the operators mod a,m)(a,n mod with the class of Gaussian functions that have exponents proportional to aa*. It is shown that the system may demonstrate a spatial chaos due to the multiple competing processes of three-wave optical mixing occurring in it. For the interacting waves being light pulses, the spatial chaos results in stochasticity of their temporal envelopes.
