Emotions are manifested in speech signal at all the levels, in particular they are significant at suprasegmental level (i.e., prosodic level). In this paper four emotions are characterized (anger, compassion, happy and neutral) using the prosodic features such as duration, intonation (variation of pitch), and energy. The analysis is performed on SUSE (speech under simulated emotion) database. The derived knowledge with respect to each emotion in terms of the prosodic features is used for speech transformation from one emotion to other. In this paper an attempt is made for transforming speech at gross level from neutral to other emotions. The maximum size of proposed antenna is 35.4 mm by 35.4 mm. The design is optimized by means of parameter-variation studies that have been performed using a 3D electromagnetic simulator. A novel bandwidth enhancing network is described, which is shown to improve the 10-dB bandwidth substantially. The simulated and measured radiation pattern is suited for wireless communication applications. The gain of proposed antenna is 6.21dBi at 10 GHz. The motion of the target is evaluated with the assumptions that the drag and gravity are the only forces acting on the ballistic target after it enters into the endo-atmospheric phase. With unknown ballistic coefficient, the problem is actually a case for combined state and parameter estimation. After around 1997 the central or divided difference filter was developed for nonlinear stochastic estimation, which is a derivative-free filter and takes care of the second term of Taylor series expansion. The performance of the CDF is expected to be considerably better than the EKF and close to the UKF. This paper addresses the quantitative aspects of the improvement of performance. In particular, using Monte Carlo runs, the performance of the CDF has been compared with that of the EKF, standard UKF and Square Root UKF. While the performance of the CDF is comparable with the UKF, the CDF has a higher computational efficiency compared to the UKF. The proposed method provides a stable response for a TCP flow dynamics which is highly oscillatory or unstable under practical conditions. The controller decouples the setpoint response from the load response. The proposed control scheme can track the desired buffer level and reject any additional load disturbance such as unknown buffer depletion rate. Here we present our fuzzy GREEN controller which is expected to act as a congestion controller in the routers. Researches in the past have mainly focused on the EOG signals where the problem of removal of ocular artifacts from the electroencephalogram was dealt. We present, from a new perspective, a scheme which essentially deals with enhancement of EOG Signals. The non-stationary and time-varying EOG signals are processed using methodologies anchored on multiresolution analyses and the wavelet transform theory. Coiflet wavelets are used for subsequent removal of noise from the (awgn) corrupted EOG signals using the concept of coefficient thresholding. SURE is used for threshold selection. Its performance, in terms of SNR, is compared with strategies suggested by Birge-Massart and Donoho and Johnstone. Haar based wavelets of higher orders are used for post-processing of EOG signals. In this paper, the CGIC structures of low pass and high pass are analyzed to determine the clock period to be used with these structures for VLSI applications and are modified to reduce the clock period further to increase the speed keeping the sensitivity and stability of these structures are exactly the same as those of the original structures. The modified filters are also power efficient while maintaining the original speed but increase the latency to some extent.
