The projected growth of passenger traffic determines the development of infrastructure of stations, the defining part of which is high-quality information support. Modernization of railway stations implies, among other things, creation of the timely, accessible and complete information space for customers, it also requires the regulation of increasing passenger flows based on high-quality information. This article discusses the improvement of information processes using digital technologies. The proposed modernization is not refinement of automation elements of existing business processes of the passenger station on another technical platform, but the development and implementation of new technologies for passenger and customer information services based on a modern intelligent management system for information and reference processes. Business processes based on digital technologies are built taking into account the specifics of the information space of a particular station. The longer time is taken to attract forces and facilities to eliminate emergencies, the greater the losses will be. The time parameters of attraction are determined by the interval from the moment of an emergency and the beginning of transmission of information about it to the moment of communication of this information to all the officials of structures required to attract. Russian Railways JSC has developed regulatory documents on information exchange for transmission of emergency information. Based on the results of the regulatory documents analysis, a scheme of information exchange has been developed for the management regions of the Sverdlovsk Railway in case of emergencies during the transport process. Unsteady gas flows are described by a phenomenological mathematical model of gas dynamics, which is constructed using a system of nonlinear integral-differential equations written in Eulerian coordinates. The gas motion is considered under the condition that the free boundary at all times consists of the same particles. This circumstance makes it convenient to switch from Eulerian coordinates to Lagrangian coordinates, for which the domain of determining the solution of the gas motion problem will be fixed in advance. The transformation of the system to Lagrangian coordinates makes it possible to reduce it to an equivalent system consisting of Volterra-type integral equations and the continuity equation in Lagrangian form, and get rid of the unknown boundary. Using the method of successive approximations, properties of compact spaces, a series of original and specific estimates found for functions describing the flows of the self-gravitating gas, convergence of a sequence of approximate solutions is proved under assumptions about smoothness of the initial data. The use of existing methods for creating networks of traffic routing graphs when building a transport network of railway stations leads to restrictions when planning routes for shunting trains. A new approach to the formation of the railway station transport network is proposed to optimize the routes of rolling stock movement when performing train handling operations. In particular, the possibility of using the vicious Knall’s circles to identify problems in the development of transport education is investigated. The traditional functionality of the Knall’s circles has been expanded to the study of the mechanisms of positive development of the research object. Two types of models for describing these processes are proposed and analyzed, taking into account both additive and multiplicative effects of development. Using concrete examples, the methodology for constructing various types of process models, selecting the optimal type of model and predicting development is shown. A systematic approach to the study of transport education is also proposed to be implemented using the tools of cenological analysis, which takes into account all participants in the personnel training system in the industry. The scientific and educational values of transport education allow us to determine the completeness and stability of the educational system, the direction of development (degradation, positive development of the system), the role and place of an individual educational institution in the personnel training system. The cytological study is illustrated by the example of the analysis of the results of the activities of branch railway universities. Scientific and educational self-regulating organizations for training specialists for the regional transport system are considered as one of the mechanisms for managing transport education. In this article, the effect of the ballast resistor block on the efficiency indicator of the electric circuit of an alternating current electric locomotive is considered. The ballast resistor block is designed to ensure the static stability of the regenerative braking mode when organizing the inversion process of a thyristor rectifier-inverter converter with a constant margin angle δ = const. However, the use of ballast resistors in the anchor chain of traction electric engines negatively affects the energy performance characteristics of the electric locomotive in the regenerative braking mode. In order to eliminate this drawback, a method is proposed to ensure the stable operation of the regenerative braking mode without the block of ballast resistors of the alternating current electric locomotive with a rectifier-inverter converter based on IGBT transistors. At the first stage of design functional and structural models of the existing process are constructed, through the analysis of which functional and structural models of the designed production process are formed. The construction of models involves IDEF-design methods which are a further development of SADT methodology of structured analysis and design of complex systems. The structural model of the designed process is presented in graphical language IDEF3. Further, by means of methods of functional and structural, functional and constructive, structural and constructive integration search and optimization of the technological devices realizing the required production functions is carried out. Such technologies have been used in the development of complex aerospace systems. In the process of reengineering the existing production process of pressing products from high-strength aluminium alloys, a design of an energy and material-saving automated production process has been developed, in which, unlike the existing process on one unit in a continuous process flow, the main technological operations of plastic deformation, additional heating, heat hardening and straightening of the pressed products are carried out directly on the output bed of the press. A part of the technical solutions of the project passed industrial testing on a the press complex with a force of 50 MN.
