Virtual coupling allows you to reduce a train-to-train interval. Automated schedules of the executed movement record performance of train operation, automate the formation of a train-dispatcher’s reports and delivery of orders to station attendants, allow timely detection of the causes of train delays and take appropriate measures. The points of growth in traffic intensity and volume could be in enhancing the level of intelligence of automation and telemechanics systems. Modern dispatch and electrical centralized systems contain archiving subsystems that store prompt train operation conditions and operator orders. But such data is used only when analyzing emergency situations - there is no systematic analysis of archive information to find hidden patterns and extract knowledge useful for optimizing the transportation process. In this paper, we propose a method for estimating the current train operation load of a railway station, and provide relative criteria for evaluating the actual load and algorithms for determining their numerical values. The analysis of the time series of the proposed criteria obtained for a single station equipped with a relay-processor centralized system is carried out. The analysis indicated a weekly cycle of train operation load of a station with good repeatability. The fact of reducing the speed of trains before the input signal in the through-pass routes with a preset route was revealed. The effects of the irrational use of loading and unloading machines and ways to reduce the identified negative impact are determined. The main approaches to modeling the moments of arrival of vehicles in the preparation of technological documents for the operation of the logistics complex (contact schedule of the complex, the schedule of trains on the adjacent section) and the daily schedule of the work of the junction station are highlighted. The uniform supply of vehicles, characteristic of dispatching the supply of modes of transport, is relevant for modeling the operation of the supply of groups of wagons to the terminal. In case of uneven arrival of vehicles, areas of concentrated and sparse supply of vehicles are allocated. For these periods, the reasons for downtime and irrational increase in operating costs for processing one ton or intermodal unit of cargo are determined. In order to determine the nature of intra-day irregularity of the supply of vehicles, a method has been developed based on identifying the functional dependence of the arrival of vehicles during the day and constructing an appropriate histogram of the distribution of the arrival of vehicles corresponding to the selected time intervals during the day, which allows us to get a general idea of the nature of the arrival of modes of transport of various parameters. Modeling the operation of the terminal and logistics complex in the market economy with unpredictable moments of arrival of vehicles and uneven arrival of transport, special attention should be paid to the mode of operation of loading and unloading machines and crews at different times of the day when developing the technology. The key stakeholders are analyzed, their interests and emerging barriers are identified, their consideration formed the basis for formation of scientific and methodological objectives in creation of a unified state system of disposal and recycling, taking into account the possibilities of recycling of freight trucks along with passenger cars. The organizational scheme for creation of the system for disposal of decommissioned vehicles, including key stakeholders, is proposed. The proposal has been put forward to create the Association of Vehicle Processors as a coordinator of a complex infrastructure project of state significance. The information and management interactions between the enterprises of the vehicle recycling system and subjects of the transport system and government agencies are indicated. To analyze the data, methodology for calculating durability indicators was used. On the basis of the analysis, the dependences on the operating time of the average value and standard deviation, the resource distribution function and the wheel diameter distribution density function are constructed. These units have the greatest impact on the safety of train traffic and therefore it is extremely important to constantly assess the condition of these components. The knowledge of these data contributes to improvement of repair technology and correct organization of the planned preventive repair system. Such a study makes it possible to improve the safety of the transportation process by carefully monitoring the most vulnerable spots of the rolling stock. This reveals the prefailure condition before its occurrence. The results of the study can be used as the basis for adjusting the current structure of the repair cycle in terms of changing the repair runs. A variant of the serial design of the PKZhDL-65-4 counter-rail lining is considered. The analysis of the failure rate of counter-rail linings is carried out, and the results of observations of the condition of the linings in different regions are presented. The destruction zone is localized and its character as a multi-cycle fatigue destruction is determined. The information about the conducted complex of experimental studies for investigation of the stress-strain state in the dangerous zone of the lining is presented. To carry out the design studies, the design schemes of the counter-rail lining were developed. Calculated studies of the influence of various factors on the level of stresses acting in the hazardous area of the structure are performed. The influence of the type of the design scheme, the stiffness of the rubber shock-absorbing lining and the properties of the sleeper material is studied. Variants of counter-rail lining designs for reducing the level of stresses acting in the dangerous zone are proposed. The results of testing of new lining structures on the switches of the South Ural Railway are presented. Cassette bearings have a number of significant advantages (unique abilities of conical rolling bodies, compactness, small size and others) that allow to realize loads from the axle to the rails of 245 kN (25 tf) or more and thereby increase the gross weight of railway cars to 108 tf. Withdrawal of manufacturers producing bearings from the Russian market (Timken, SKF, Brenko) led to a sharp drop in the production and repair of innovative rail-cars. A comparison of the production volumes of rail-cars in February and May 2022 discovered that there was a significant reduction (at JSC «Uralvagonzavod» and JSC «Tikhvin Railway Car Building Plant»), and by August production had practically stopped. The sanctions forced companies producing bearings (EPK-Brenko, Tek-Com Production) and railcar repair companies to search for new suppliers of components, primarily bearings. Such supplier companies could be Wafangdian (ZWZ), Luoyang LYC (China) and SPZ Bearings (Uzbekistan). As a result of the measures taken and the significant intensification of work, it is assumed that a significant part of the demand for bearings will be covered by domestic plants. The sanctions intensified the refinement and stimulated the production of twincylindrical roller bearings, which, according to preliminary test results, demonstrated the same durability resources as conical cassette bearings (eight years of operation and 800 thousand km of mileage).
