Purification of the plastics from shredded waste materials requires versatile techniques, such as optical identification by Raman spectroscopy. The identification procedure demands the spectroscopy expertise to assign molecular structures from spectral peaks. In this study, we demonstrate applications to classify plastics using machine learning techniques under practical recycling industry conditions. Combining the techniques of principal component analysis (PCA) and support vector machine provides an accurate and robust classification of the valuable plastics of polypropylene, polystyrene, and acrylonitrile–butadiene–styrene copolymer. The identification accuracy remained above 95%, even with noise 3 times larger than the original intensity. For noise 10 times larger, the accuracy was more than 70%. Based on the observation of accommodation services In Bali, Indonesia shows that several hotels or villas are installed with energy-intensive devices. This study aims to produce an energy monitoring system consist of an automatic electrical control system and an energy monitoring information system. The system is to help controlling and monitoring energy use in accommodation services, named the Green Monitoring System. The automatic control system uses a Programmable Logic Controller which consists of a DHT11 sensor, ACS712 electric current sensor, and infrared. Electronic devices that are controlled by this system are Air Conditioning (AC). Data obtained from the electrical control system, is then processed and displayed through a monitoring information system. The concept of monitoring information system development was developed with a green software development life cycle approach. The new substation is intended to increase the reliability of system to comply with load demand growth. Splitting of existing transmission line probably causes one of the segments experience over compensation, because the existing shunt reactor on the transmission line is still used to reduce the system voltage during energize and switching process. While the other transmission line segment does not require any shunt reactor based on load flow analysis that has been performed. Splitting of existing transmission line also causes only one transpose in each segment of transmission line, so it is not effective in minimizing the mutual inductive and capacitive coupling on the transmission line. The objectives of the study are ensuring the success of auto reclose scheme on each transmission line segment and minimizing the probability of equipment breakdown due to overvoltage during single phase to ground fault and open phase fault on both of transmission line segments. Integrating businesses and information technology resources can accommodate quick and precise adaption to changes. The purpose of this study is to develop a business architecture model using The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) Architecture Development Method (ADM). In particular, this study aims at the business architecture of STMIK Pontianak, whose depiction uses Business Process Mapping (BPM) and the notation employes Business Process Mapping Notation (BPMN). Afterward, it conducts a business process gap analysis. Data collection utilizes a planned interview method by means of questionnaires to respondents which later is presented in enclosed answers. The scale of measurement in these questionnaires employs a Likert scale, while the percentage of each question is calculated in the software of Microsoft Excel. Findings show that of 100% information technology services and business architecture information systems targetted, only 40% of STMIK Pontianak Information Technology (IT) services have been computerized. This study examined the effect of e-Learning towards student learning, which uses quantitative methods by conducting sample surveys of the institution’s student population. Sampling techniques are generally carried out randomly for all students as they took the same strata. This random sample used the Issac and Michael formulas with degrees of freedom (dk = 1) and a level of error of 10%. Data collection using research instruments, data analysis is quantitative in order to test the hypothesis set. Especially in Faculty of Computer Science which has two departments, namely Information Systems and Informatics that are growing. So that new student data continues to grow every year. The data obtained can be managed to produce important information as an institutional reference in making decisions, such as determining a promotion strategy. Through the right promotion strategy, Faculty can reduce costs for promotion. Therefore, this research was conducted to determine an effective and efficient promotion strategy to targeted new student and information can be spread on the right target. This study uses data from newly enrolled students consisting of 243 data using several attributes such as program study, gender, origin, religion, school, major, and promotion. We used K-Means algorithm, which is one of the non-hierarchical clustering data methods in classifying student data into several clusters based on data similarity, so that students who have the same characteristics are grouped into one cluster. We also used a statistical gap method to determine an optimum cluster. There are distinct kinds of software, as well as design patterns. One of them is patterns for enterprise application architecture. Although enterprise design patterns are said to be able to improve the software quality, there is a lack of literature that discusses the evidence of the impact. This preliminary study proposes a method to assess the impact of enterprise software design pattern on maintainability. We use the Academic Information System (AIS) of Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) as a case study. It is enterprise software which is frequently maintained and need to be evolved. The software maintainability is measured by using C&K metrics. Then we calculate the relative change and evaluate it based on viewpoints of the metrics. Transaction Script pattern is selected to verify the method. As a result, it decreases the maintainability instead of improving it. The result of this preliminary study shows that design patterns did not improve the software maintainability. Based on the previous researches, it depends on several factors which may be studied in the future work. This is because it is easy and inexpensive to be able to watch television broadcasts. Accompanied by the rapid development of the television industry from day to day, causing each television station to compete to present various kinds of shows. Twitter as a micro blog-based social media, is also used by the television industry for publication media, besides that it is also a mouthpiece for criticism and public advice on the programs being aired. Indonesian society with a large number is directly proportional to the number of tweets about television topics in Indonesia. This can be a difficult problem if the assessment data in the form of tweets from the community is still processed manually to produce information regarding the evaluation of television shows. To that end, the authors propose to analyze the data of tweets using an application with a naive Bayes algorithm to be able to produce information on public sentiment assessment regarding television shows. This application is designed using the Python language and PHP. Traffic accident could be avoided if the driver aware of vigilance on road condition and situation. Nowadays, there are many development technologies, one of them is object detection technology. Object detection technology needs a specific face to be detected. Authors design a drowsiness detection system that will send alert to the driver when the driver feels asleep when driving a car, this can avoids accident. Driver which is the user in this application, if they close their eyes within one second, the sensor which is the front camera in the smartphone will catch and process this event and then trigger the system to give voice alert to the user. In processing the detected image, authors use OpenCV Library. OpenCV Library uses Haar Cascade Classifier for detection images such as eyes and face. Eyes and face will be the target in this system.
