We have also examined that technology for students with severe physical and intellectual disabilities (SPID), including profound intellectual and multiple disabilities (PIMD). We hypothesized that a calibration-free system can be useful for such students because it completely reduces the calibration load of any application software. Our earlier research supported the hypothesis, but highlighted the need for a more compact system. This research examined a compact-type calibration-free eye-tracking system for such students. We developed a prototype based on a compact 19-inch (48 cm) display. Results of trial use by two students in a special school suggest the prototype effectiveness, but additional difficulties were pointed out for the system fixation and long-term use by many more students.","PeriodicalId":118269,"journal":{"name":"2019 7th International conference on ICT & Accessibility (ICTA)","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131458058","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although it is difficult to deduce the best category model to address the predicted Quality of Experience QoE in operational networks. Also, sometimes the result obtained by ML is not relevant i.e not expected according to the present conditions. We talk here about problem of anomaly in Machine Learning context. To fill this gap, in this paper, we try to solve the problem of Machine Learning ML anomaly detection in the QoE context for video streaming service in Software Defined Networking SDN environment. We explore in one hand feature selection methodology to extract the most correlated features to the video QoE. In other hand we investigate different ensemble learning approaches to improve the detection of QoE anomalies following the known stacking or super learning model. Results show that the proposed model presents a high performance comparing to other types of ensemble learning and single learning techniques.","PeriodicalId":118269,"journal":{"name":"2019 7th International conference on ICT & Accessibility (ICTA)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129468108","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The general aim of this research is to contribute to addressing the MOOCs' dropout rate issue due to the lack of interactivity and scaffolding for learners especially in discussion forums. To this end, the proposed system provides learners with automatic adequate answers to the inquiries and questions they posted in discussion forums. The proposed answering approach is accomplished in two main phases: The Answering System identifies firstly a learner's question among a panoply of exchanged messages within discussion forums. Then, it provides to the learner suitable suggested answers based on similar existing posts, which would help the learner getting immediate preliminary answers without the need to wait for a formal feedback from the instructor. In a second hand, the system builds and recommends an appropriate answer using MOOCs' videos, based on automated crawling and indexing methods and applying web mining and recommendation strategies.","PeriodicalId":118269,"journal":{"name":"2019 7th International conference on ICT & Accessibility (ICTA)","volume":"95 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121523996","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Accordingly, heterogeneous health data (medical devices and medical records) is obtained and requires to be efficiently managed and diverse risk factors should be smartly considered in order to predict and prevent complex and dangerous events. The modeling and processing of this kind of events present an emerging challenge that necessitates to be addressed. In this context, we aim to propose a semantic-driven complex event processing approach for Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) prevention for diabetic patients. Particularly, we focus on the semantic modeling of medical events; Then, we propose diverse rules for processing purposes.","PeriodicalId":118269,"journal":{"name":"2019 7th International conference on ICT & Accessibility (ICTA)","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122060021","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, these users often struggle to access and use technologies because their needs are not accounted for in most technology development processes. One of the main reasons for this is because technology developers often experience tension between accommodating the needs of these users with feasibility considerations. In this case study, we describe our transdisciplinary, inclusive and iterative process for reconciling users' needs and feasibility considerations when developing a medication management app for persons with CD. This paper may serve as a valuable resource for technology developers who are interested in developing products for persons with CD, by highlighting some of the real-world challenges they may encounter and providing guidance on how to overcome them.","PeriodicalId":118269,"journal":{"name":"2019 7th International conference on ICT & Accessibility (ICTA)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126164501","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
