At the end of a sentence A. Use for a word that is too long to fit at the end of a sentence. Use the hyphen at the end of a syllable. Ex. \" First Lieutenant Jimmy Cross carried letters from a girl name Martha, a junior at Mount Sebastian College in New Jersey \" (O \" Brien 462). 2. With prefixes and suffixes A. For prefixes, use a hyphen with ex-, all-, and self-Ex. ex-husband, all-encompassing, etc. B. For suffixes, use a hyphen before-elect Ex. governor-elect 3. With compound words Ex. mother-in-law 4. With compound numbers A. Use a hyphen with compound numbers from twenty-one to ninety-nine. Ex. My sister turned twenty-eight on our grandmother \" s eighty-second birthday. 1. Use dashes for Special Emphasis A. Use a dash to set off a word or phrase that is not essential to the main idea in order to emphasize. Ex. \" The care-takers—those who are helpers, nurturers, teachers, mothers—are still systematically devalued. \" —Ellen Goodman, \" Just Woman \" s Work \" (Troyka and Hesse 446) B. Commas or parentheses can also be used in place of dashes. However, they do not provide the same importance or urgency.","PeriodicalId":112390,"journal":{"name":"Descriptosaurus Punctuation in Action Years 4–6","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131253297","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Attached are samples and guidance from previous semesters. Task: Describe the characteristics of the diabetic population as a function of age. Figure 1. Overall percentages of diabetics in the US What is required? Explain the trends of different age groups (analysis as a function of age), rather than saying one is below the other one. Address the trend of the \" 64-75 \" age group and the \" 75 or older \" age group, as the \" 75 or older \" age group is the oldest but has a lower percentage of diabetes than the \" 65-74 \" age group. As the population ages, people are more susceptible to diabetes, however the age group \" 65-74 \" has diagnosis greater percentage of diagnosed cases of diabetes than the age group of \" 75 or older \". A possible explanation is that many people who were diagnosed with diabetes died before age 75.","PeriodicalId":112390,"journal":{"name":"Descriptosaurus Punctuation in Action Years 4–6","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133274930","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
