Especially when there are people in the car, if the autonomous vehicle loses control on the road, the quick intervention to prevent a possible crash or a more serious road accident can be only through voice commands between the person and the execution control devices of self-driving car. The existing self-driving car control models are mainly based on incoming from mounted on the autonomous vehicle video cameras information, processed from deep learning neural networks and artificial intelligence. This paper proposes to extend these models with voice commands recognition, spoken by a person in the car, in order to correct the self-driving car movement, to prevent possible traffic accidents, and therefore to increase traffic safety. For this purpose deep learning neural network with artificial intelligence is developed to recognize the spoken by the person voice commands, which can be interpreted by the executive control devices of the autonomous vehicle. The presented results from simulation tests show the ability of the proposed extended self-driving car control model to correct with voice commands the self-driving car motion on the road leading to essential increase of the safety of traffic.","PeriodicalId":104760,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences","volume":"26 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139231295","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although many studies have been conducted on their efficacy against weeds, limited studies are available in the literature on their impact on soil pathogens causing disease in wheat, such as Fusarium culmorum, Gaeumannomyces graminis var. tritici, and Bipolaris sorokiniana. In this in vitro study, the efficacy of glyphosate isopropylamine salt and glufosinate-ammonium on the mycelial growth of these pathogens grown in PDA was investigated. Changes in the mycelial growth of fungal species grown in herbicide-amended PDA medium and control medium were observed by measuring the radial growth of the colonies three times per week. Glufosinate ammonium effectively suppressed the fungal growth of all of the pathogens tested in vitro. Glyphosate isopropylamine salt induced mycelial growth of B. sorokiniana; however, there was little or no impact of the herbicide on other pathogens tested. Wheat growers should be careful using glyphosate isopropylamine salt in fields that are infected by B. sorokiniana, or they should use glufosinate-ammonium in fields where these pathogens are common.","PeriodicalId":104760,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences","volume":"27 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139233222","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of the present study was to investigate the contamination of the studied soils by metals and metalloids, several years after the closure of the plant (2009) and to relate their concentrations to basic soil parameters, pH, electrical conductivity, cation exchange capacity, clay content and total organic carbon, which will contribute to better assessment of their behaviour and remediation strategies. Total concentrations (aqua-regia) of the elements Al, B, Ba, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Li, Mn, Mo, Ni, Pb, Zn and As were determined. Elevated levels of the heavy metals Pb, Cd, Zn, and the metalloid arsenic (As) were found at the studied sites. Lead (Pb) exceeded maximum permissible concentrations (MPC), regulated by Bulgarian legislation for arable lands between 2 and 15 times, cadmium (Cd) between 3 and 5 times, arsenic (As) between 3 and 6 times, and zinc (Zn) was higher than MPC in three of the sampled sites. Soil pH values were in significant correlation with EC (R** = 0.805), CEC R** = 0.781), B (R* = 0.638), Cu (R* = 0.669), Fe (R** = 0.766) and Mn (R*** = 0.916) contents. Aluminium, cadmium, lithium and lead concentrations were related to the content of the clay fraction in soil. Positive correlation was obtained in multiple regression models between Pb, Al, Cd, TOC and soil pH, and negative relationship was observed with electrical conductivity (EC). The obtained results showed complex relationships between soil characteristics and the metals and metalloids, which emphasize the need for their simultaneous assessment, remediation and careful use for agricultural purposes.","PeriodicalId":104760,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences","volume":"15 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139232192","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These mechanisms cause degradation of the mechanical properties and may lead to the occurrence of defects. Environmental conditions are high pressure and fluid temperature values along the primary circuit. Where defects occur, it is possible to observe fracture of the metal under the environmental conditions. The RPV metal was studied by non-destructive testing methods. The article contains the results of the methods applied. In the defects site the values of fluence, circular stresses and temperatures were defined for a reactor operating under accident conditions. The impact of these factors in creating zones in the metal with risk of destruction has been considered. The results show, that corrosion and erosion have not caused defects in the metal. Neutron fluence and its thermal impact on the metal have caused embrittlement which is manifested by indications of defects. Two main factors were observed that lead to the creation of sites with a potential risk of fracture: 1) the neutron and thermal embrittlement of the metal, and 2) the hydraulic stresses from the fluid. The stress intensity factors of some defects, as well as the critical values of these factors have been calculated. The comparison of these values demonstrates that the metal in the danger zones will not be damaged.","PeriodicalId":104760,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences","volume":"46 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139228649","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These wounds are managed conservatively, surgically and with hybrid approach. They have been treated by different specialists. The aim of the present study was to compare the results between the different methods of treatment – conservative, surgically and with hybrid approach, as well as to offer an approach to these wounds from vascular origin based on our experience in the clinic. For a period of 3 years 220 patients with venous wounds have been accepted in the department of vascular surgery in UHAT “St. Ekaterina”, Sofia. One hundred of them have been treated conservatively, the rest 120 – with complex approach – surgically, pharmaceutically, elastopia or with bandages. The rate of ageing ulcuses of venous origin did not differ significantly in 3 months in the two groups (55% to 66%), on account of recurrences at 12-month follow-up, which were significantly more common in the conservative therapy group (15% to 30%). We have followed-up the frequency of the healed wounds on the 1st, 3rd and 6th month. A significant difference in healing wounds of vascular origin with a complex approach (with open surgery and conservatively) even during the 1st month has been noticed. The complex approach applied as a treatment of chronic wounds with vascular origin is particularly important. The surgical or interventional correction of pathological changes of the vascular system are of great importance for the successful treatment of these ulcuses.","PeriodicalId":104760,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences","volume":"277 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139229051","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A methodology for screening false signals in the deposited energy spectra in the Liulin-MO detectors and correspondingly LET spectra is proposed. The contribution of the individual components of the spectrum of GCR in the LET spectrum is estimated. The calculated average radiation quality factor of GCR using the cleaned from false signals LET spectrum is compared with the experimental results obtained during the transit to Mars and a reasonable agreement is observed.","PeriodicalId":104760,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences","volume":"67 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139230400","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The data generated so far, located in various corpora, is much more than can be analyzed. Therefore, they are collected, identified, cleaned and normalized to be used most adequately. Segmentation, assumptions and hypotheses contribute to the degree of satisfaction with the returned result. The research proposed a general method for collecting, cleaning and normalizing data from various sources, structurally modelling it into appropriate models, then testing hypotheses and analyzing the obtained results to conclude large academic data that will benefit the business in making management decisions. This is possible with the means of computational linguistics and with the help of Python data manipulation libraries.","PeriodicalId":104760,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences","volume":"76 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139234101","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
