In such a colorful political structure, for many of whom the only common point was opposition to the Republican People's Party, it was expected that conflicts within the party would occur. Thus a group of deputies proposed the anti-democratic procedures implemented in the July 21st 1946 General Elections, started opposition within the party by bringing the legitimacy of the Turkish Grand National Assembly up for discussion. Until the resignation of the İstanbul province chairman, Kenan Öner in January, 1948, the opposition wing that remained individual and clique level tried to take power within the party in coordination with the supporters of the Assembly Group and the General Board of Directors, after that date. Opponents lost the power war against the founders of the Democratic Party, but they disintegrated the party between January and May 1948, when the conflict was most intense. Two different political structures, the Millet Party and the Independent Democrats, were founded by those who left the Democratic Party. This study has three main aims: The first is to examine the emergence and development of the intra-party opposition within the Democratic Party. The second is the determination of the quality of the power conflict between the Öner faction and the Menderes-Köprülü faction, which led the party to disintegration. Aykutoğlu","doi":"10.13114/mjh.2020.516","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.13114/mjh.2020.516","url":null,"abstract":"This study aims to examine the coregulation patterns in the positive and negative affect of normative romantic partners and to replicate the previous findings in the emotion regulation field. For this aim, 37 romantic couples (74 individuals) completed daily records for 14 consecutive days. We hypothesized that one’s daily positive/negative affect would be positively associated with the partner’s daily positive/negative affect. We also expected that changes in one’s daily positive/negative affect would be positively associated with changes in the partner’s daily positive/negative affect. The hypothesis was partially supported, as results of multilevel analyses revealed that partners’ daily positive and negative affect positively predict one’s own positive and negative affect. Moreover, change in partners’ positive affect positively predicted one’s own change in positive affect. Change in partners’ negative affect did not predict one’s own change in negative affect. Overall, the findings demonstrated the coregulation pattern in positive affect but not for negative affect for romantic dyads. Samar","doi":"10.13114/mjh.2020.515","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.13114/mjh.2020.515","url":null,"abstract":"Narrative therapy has started to develop in the 1980s; and it is a relatively less known psychotherapy approach, especially for our country. It highly differs from traditional psychotherapy methods in terms of both the based philosophical, theoretical principles and used therapy methods. The main focus of the narrative therapy, which is a postmodernist and socially constructive psychotherapy approach, is the stories of the clients. Narrative therapy tries to understand the individual and family problems through client stories, and it suggests that political and cultural factors have a significant effect on those problems. In this article, philosophical foundations and assumptions on narrative therapy are primarily explained and then general information about the position of the therapist, used techniques, and therapy process is provided. Next, the studies conducted on the effectiveness of narrative therapy in Turkey and other countries were reviewed. The detailed information about effectiveness studies included in this review is given and their findings are summarized. Based on the reviewed literature, it is found that the number of high-quality studies on that topic is very limited in both Turkey and other countries. This theory has an important place and influence in the history of philosophy. In this study, the theory of ideas was elucidated from a different perspective. The relationship between sensations and perceptions to the theory of ideas is also controversial, although it has a very important place in Plato's theory of ideas. The theory of ideas attaches special importance to the act of vision in the formation of sensation and perception. It will be argued that if Plato’s thoughts on “seeing” are considered within the whole “theory of ideas”, then it will be clear that “theory of ideas” relies mainly on “seeing“. In this article, first of all, what “seeing” is and how it occurs, seeing-good, seeing-knowledge, seeing-knowledge-remembering relationship will be explained under the headings of the relationship between “seeing” and idea.
