Expression of COX-2 and MMP-9 were detected by immunohistochemistry and then the clinical significance was analyzed. \u0000 \u0000 \u0000Results \u0000No expression of COX-2 or MMP-9 were detected in adjacent normal lacrimal glands. The level of COX-2 and MMP-9 expressed in ACC group were both higher than those in PA group (P <0.05). There was positive correlation between expression of COX-2 and MMP-9 (P <0.01).Significant differences in the risk of recurrence between positive and negative expression of COX-2 and MMP-9 were both noted (P <0.05). \u0000 \u0000 \u0000Conclusions \u0000COX-2 and MMP-9 may be closely related to the prognosis of patients. According to the degree of hardness and opacity of the lens nucleus, the nucleus was divided into group A: young nucleus, group B: old nuclear; cortical was divided into group A: mild opacity, group B: severe haze. One eye, which was randomly chosen and applied shoelace continuous suture to attach the conjuctival fornix flap to the cornea, was included in observation group; the other eye, which under went same surgical procedure but applied conjuctival interrupted suture, was included in the control group. Intraocular pressure (IOP) and anterior chamber depth was measured and recorded after 3 days, 1 week and 1 month after surgery. \u0000 \u0000 \u0000Results \u0000Among the observation group, 3 days after surgery, IOP of 38 eyes was successfully controlled, IOP of 3 eyes was partially successfully controlled, with control rate as 100%; 1 week and 1 month after surgery, IOP of 37 eyes was successfully controlled, IOP of 3 eyes was partially successfully controlled, IOP of 1 eye was failed to control, with control rate as 97.56%. Among the control group, 3 days after surgery, IOP of 39 eyes was successfully controlled, IOP of 2 eyes was partially successfully controlled, with control rate as 100%; 1 week after surgery, IOP of 38 eyes was successfully controlled, IOP of 2 eyes was partially successfully controlled, IOP of 1 eye was failed to control, with control rate as 97.56%; 1 month after surgery, IOP of 37 eyes was successfully controlled, IOP of 2 eyes was partially successfully controlled, IOP of 2 eye was failed to control, with control rate as 95.12%. No significant difference was observed between two groups (P >0.05). Six eyes (6/41, 14.63%) had I degree shallow anterior chamber 3 days after surgery among the observation group, all recovered within 1 week without treatment, and remained stabilized 1 month after surgery; 12 eyes with shallow anterior chamber after surgery occurred in control group (12/41, 29.26%), significantly more than the observe group (χ2=18.76, P <0.01). Among them, 6 eyes had I degree shallow anterior chamber, 4 II degree shallow anterior chamber, and 1 III degree shallow anterior chamber. There were significantly more II and III degree shallow anterior chamber occurred in the control group (5/41, 12.19%) than observe group (0/41) (χ2=24.4, P <0.01). With the same corneal curvature, 177 cases of corneal curvature were obtained; the average of 177 cases of corneal curvature was obtained, the range of the average corneal curvature was 40.125-48.375D. In the range of average corneal curvature, according to the calculated critical axial length (21.97-22.02mm), the difference of IOL was obtained. Among them, 123 cases (131 eyes) of cataract were found by glaucoma admission, 34 cases (52 eyes) of glaucoma were found by cataract admission. There were 78 cases (87 eyes) of primary acute angle-closure glaucoma, 32 cases (47 eyes) of primary chronic angle-closure glau-coma, 3 cases (4 eyes) of primary open-angle glaucoma, cataract secondary glaucoma in 21 cases (21 eyes), residual glaucoma complicated with cataract in 23 cases (24 eyes). According to the cause of the disease, the course of disease, the degree of angle closure to choose different surgical methods, follow-up > 6 months to observe the treatment effect. \u0000 \u0000 \u0000Results \u0000Of 37 patients (41 eyes) underwent cataract surgery combined with glaucoma surgery (22.4%), 62 patients (73 eyes) underwent cataract surgery (39.9%) and 58 patients (69 eyes) underwent glaucoma surgery (37.7%). The intraocular pressure control was satisfactory in 136 cases (171 eyes, 93.4%) by not using or using 1-2 kinds of local reduction of intraocular pressure drugs, 11 cases (12 eyes, 6.6%) underwent secondary anti-glaucoma surgery. No serious complications occurred. \u0000 \u0000 \u0000Conclusions \u0000Various surgery approach for glaucoma with a cataract should be chosen depending on the different conditions. One hundred and forty-two patients (142 eyes) with age-related cataract were di-vided into two groups according to the surgical approach. Non-invasive tear break time (NIBUT), tear meniscus height, schirmer I test and subjective score for dryness were compared between two groups. \u0000 \u0000 \u0000Results \u0000One day, 7 days and 1 month postoperatively, both the mean NIBUT and tear meniscus height of the clear cornea incision above margin group reduced greatly than the clear corneaincision margin level group. The differences among two groups had significance statistically (Fgroup diff=7577.541, P <0.01; F group diff=9523.241, P <0.01). The values recovered to preoperative levels at 3 months postoperatively and there was no statistically significant difference among the two groups. At 1 day, 7 days, 1 month and 3 months postoperatively, the mean subjective scores for dryness of the a clear cornea incision margin level group were higher than the clear cornea incision above margin group; and a statistically significant difference among the two groups (F group diff=6781.533, P <0.01). The interpersonal sensitivity and paranoid factor scores postoperation were lower than the norm (P <0.05). Compared with the preoperative, after sur-gery the somatization, force, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety, hostility, terror, paranoia and psychoticism scores were significantly decreased (P <0.05), and the positive factor numbers were also decreased significantly than preoperative (P <0.05). \u0000 \u0000 \u0000Conclusions \u0000There are obvious mental health problems preoperatively of female excimer laser surgery patients. {"title":"25G pars plana vitrectomy combined with peeling of the inner limiting membrane and air tamponade in idiopathic macular hole","authors":"Xiayun Hu, Lina Zhang, Lifang Shen","doi":"10.3760/CMA.J.ISSN.1006-4443.2017.04.012","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.3760/CMA.J.ISSN.1006-4443.2017.04.012","url":null,"abstract":"Objective \u0000To evaluate the clinical effect of 25G pars plana vitrectomy with inner limiting membrane peeling and air tamponade for idiopathic macular hole (IMH). \u0000 \u0000 \u0000Methods \u0000Retrospectively examined 28 patients (28 eyes) with IMH in whom 25G vitrectomy, peeling of the inner limiting membrane underwent 0.25mg/ml brilliant blue G(BBG)-assisted, and application of sterile air tamponade were performed. The main observations were the surgical time, best corrected visual acuity (BCVA), intraocular pressure, the healing of macular hole and surgery complications. The follow-up period was 3-24 months (median 12.2±3.6 months). \u0000 \u0000 \u0000Results \u0000The operation lasted for 22-40minutes, meanly 28minutes, 28 cases were all successfully peeled of the inner limiting membrane, macular hole were closed in 28 eyes (100%), visual improvement was achieved in 21 eyes (75%), no eye was worse. The mean BCVA was 0.65±0.194 postoperatively, there was significant statistical differences compared with that before operation (t=13.768, P=0.000). The mean intraocular pressure at postoperative 1 week was (15.3±3.7) mmHg, closed to preoperative level.
