Our results revealed severe damage and injury to nucleated erythroid cells, including morphological irregularity, pyknosis, karyolysis, expansion of perinuclear cisternae and cytoplasmic lysis. Abstract

Autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA) is a group of diseases characterized by immune-mediated lysis of mature red blood cells (RBCs). It is mainly classified into primary and secondary types based on etiology and mechanisms underlying autoantibody production.
