Abstract

The benefits of mobile handsets with integrated Near Field Communications (NFC) functionality are obvious for mobile network operators (MNOs), financial services companies, service providers and end users. A smart card with a screen, keyboard and always-on communications sounds like the ultimate combination of credit/debit card, transit ticketing and access control applications to name only a few.
