Chronic pancreatitis is a chronic inflammatory disorder characterized by intermittent or continuous abdominal and/or back pain, eventual exocrine and endocrine insufficiency, and complications ranging from biliary strictures and pancreatic pseudocysts to pseudoaneurysms of related arteries.
