Abstract

: Crack detection in concrete infrastructure is a very important issue especially the detection of cracks in underground pipes for estimating the degree of pipe deterioration and damage. The manual process is suitable only if the pipe is small it is very time consuming and expensive. This paper offers the analysis of three image processing techniques, namely Morphological Approach, Gaussian and Prewitt Filter and Sobel Filter for detection of cracks in concrete pipes.
