Then, the high output torque capability of the AM-FSPM machine is proved by the power sizing equation. In addition, the harmonics distributions in the AM-FSPM machine are revealed by the air-gap flux density mathematical models of two modular parts. Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to develop a novel axial-modular flux switching permanent magnet (AM-FSPM) machine with a sinusoidal flux-linkage waveform and high output torque. Firstly, the operation principle is introduced by field modulation theory.
