Then, to find out the average pretest and posttest using N-Gain. There is an average posttest score of 78.21 which is higher than the pretest average value of 50.21. Abstract

This study aims to determine the ability of grade 3 students at SD Negeri Plamongansari 02 Semarang City in solving math word problems. The type of research used is the Pree Experimental form of one group pretest-posttest design. The number of samples in this study were 28 students in class 3. The test used in this study was the T-test to measure the hypothetical mean pretest and posttest students' scores in order to determine differences in ability to solve math word problems in the pretest and posttest.
