Abstract
Abstract FreeStyle Precision Pro system is designed to meet the need of blood glucose and &bgr;-ketone monitoring in the challenging hospital environment. It uses real-time wireless communication and 2-dimensional barcode technology to safeguard the integrity of the testing process. The embedded new autocorrection algorithm delivers accurate measurement results in testing with samples from a wide range of blood sources and sample conditions. The various features and technologies of FreeStyle Precision Pro are discussed. Clinical and laboratory performance results are summarized to demonstrate that the accuracy of the FreeStyle Precision Pro system tested with different blood sample types meets accuracy criteria used to evaluate blood glucose monitoring systems.
